A New York City-based kitten rescue operation is doubling down on its stance of not accepting any “f*cking MAGA” appicants to take home orphaned kittens, even if PETA disagrees.
Itty Bitty City Kitties is a Rockaway Beach-based non-profit rescue specializing in orphaned and neonatal kittens, feral cat welfare, and adoptions. One of the organization’s Facebook posts went viral online on Wednesday after it was shared by popular conservative X commentator Libs of TikTok.
The group posted a photo of a cute kitten overlaid with the headline, “Important Adoption Policy Update: No. F*cking. MAGA.”
The caption clarified that point, saying, “That’s it. That’s the policy.”
“MAGA? Nope. Conservative? Nope. ‘I’m not political’? Nice loophole. Still nope,” the post went on. “These kittens are looking for homes with a tote bag collection, oat milk, an aggressively progressive group chat, a compost bin, NPR playing somewhere in the background, and someone who has rage-donated to mutual aid at least once.”
“If your politics involve racism, bigotry, dehumanizing immigrants, or cheering on cruelty toward vulnerable people, please kindly f*ck right off” it said. “For those spouting about cats ‘not knowing about politics’ … I actually asked the kittens if they’d be open to homes with Cult Members and the overwhelming response was, ‘absolutely the f*ck not.’ Applications are open for people whose values align with ours, and yes, references will be checked to make sure you’re not a racist piece of sh*t.”

Even the far-Left activist organization PETA said the post went too far.
“Homeless animals don’t care which side of abortion you are on or whether you believe in global warming or support Palestine or Israel or if you don’t vote at all, ever. They care if you love them and will give them a good home,” PETA co-founder Ingrid Newkirk told Fox News. “We hope this policy, which is humancentric, is reconsidered and abolished.”
Itty Bitty City Kitties director Samantha Knox doubled down on the original message in a statement to Fox News.
“As an animal welfare rescue, our primary responsibility is ensuring the animals in our care go to safe, compassionate homes,” Knox told the outlet.
She said the organization considers “public conduct and demonstrated values” and claimed that a history of “celebrat[ing] cruelty” makes for bad adoptive candidates.
“A history of celebrating harm or abuse, be it toward people or animals, is one of the biggest red flags in animal rescue,” Knox said. “We stand by our mission and will never place a vulnerable animal with anyone, ever, who we feel is a danger to the welfare of the animal.”
“Itty Bitty City Kitties does not screen or reject applicants based on registered political party affiliation,” Knox told Fox News when asked explicitly about potentially discriminatory practices. “MAGA is a political movement and ideology, not a recognized political party.”
“We reserve the right to reject any application where an applicant’s expressed values, public statements or actions demonstrate a failure to meet our safety and welfare standards,” she added.
The nonprofit has posted other political statements on its social media page, including “Free Palestine” messaging and a cryptic post on the one-year anniversary of Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
“Kittens. Don’t. Mourn. Nazis,” the post on September 10, 2026, said.
“For absolutely no reason at all on this day one year later. … Just a little kitten making sure we all know where we stand,” the caption said.
