Country singer Ella Langley canceled her sold-out concert in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Friday after police received a call threatening concertgoers. Officers said they found no credible threat after sweeping the venue and surrounding area and did not advise canceling the show.

Langley announced the last-minute cancellation on Instagram, citing what she described as a “serious security threat” involving the safety of her fans, venue staff, and touring team.

“This decision was made under the advisement of local authorities, the venue, and my security team,” Langley wrote. “This is not a decision that was made lightly.”

Tulsa police, however, said they did not advise the venue or Langley’s team to cancel the concert.

The performance was scheduled for Friday evening at Tulsa’s BOK Center as part of Langley’s Dandelion Tour. The venue confirmed the cancellation and said information about ticket refunds would be provided as soon as possible.

The Tulsa Police Department said it received a phone call threatening the lives of people attending the concert. Officers conducted additional sweeps of the building and surrounding area with K-9 units, the department’s bomb team, patrol officers, and venue security.

Police said they found no credible threat and advised Langley’s staff of their findings. According to local reporting, police believe the call was likely a swatting attempt — a false report intended to trigger an emergency response. Authorities said the incident remains under investigation.

Langley apologized to fans who had made plans to attend.

“I know how much time, travel, money, and planning goes into coming to a show, and I can’t tell you how sorry I am,” she wrote. “I was so looking forward to spending tonight with you, but your safety will always mean more to me than anything else. I refuse to put anyone in harm’s way.”

Langley recently faced online criticism over resurfaced photographs showing her with a deer she hunted. No public evidence links that backlash to Friday’s threatening call, and authorities have not publicly identified the caller.

The BOK Center said it would share refund information with ticket holders as soon as possible.
