“Wheel of Fortune” fans are furious over last night’s contestant’s failure to solve a very easy puzzle. A clip from the episode is making the rounds on social media, with at least one Twitter user calling it, “The dumbest two minutes in Wheel of Fortune history.”
In the clip, the unsolved phrase reads, “ANOTHER FEATHER _N YO_R _A_.”
“Another feather in your hat,” contestant Laura Machado answered incorrectly for her first attempt.
Laura got another opportunity to solve the puzzle after fellow competitor Christopher Coleman incorrectly guessed the letter “G” and contestant Thomas Lipscomb landed on “bankrupt” after spinning the wheel.
“Another feather in your lap,” Laura guessed for her second try.
“No, though the feather is moving around,” host Pat Sajak joked.
Clearly, Laura wasn’t the only “Wheel of Fortune” contestant having trouble coming up with the popular phrase. Christopher next guessed the letter “D” for his next turn while Thomas had a second bad spin when he landed on “Lose a turn.”
Laura still didn’t get the answer even after she spun the wheel and correctly guessed the answer included the letter “P.” Instead of spinning again, Laura decided to try solving the puzzle despite her ignorance of the phrase.
“Another feather in your map,” Laura said as her third guess.
The puzzle finally got solved after Thomas bought a letter “C,” revealing the answer as “Another feather in your cap.”
“There you go,” Sajak said.
Twitter was apoplectic over how the events went down.
“Did anyone else find themselves yelling at their TV in frustration during last night’s airing of Wheel of Fortune? Another feather in your CAP,” one Twitter user wrote.
“#WheelofFortune looking for the feather in my lap? Nap? Map? Rap? Sap? Gap?” one person sarcastically wrote.

“As a former contestant on Wheel of Fortune I feel for the dude who just wanted to answer the f’n puzzle and kept spinning Bankrupt & Lose a Turn,” another said.
Even “Frozen” alum Josh Gad weighed in on the issue, tweeting, “God help us all.”
“Watched that Wheel of Fortune clip and I’m not convinced that it wasn’t the first seal of the apocalypse being ripped open,” another Twitter user shared.
“Hey if you feel like screaming at the TV in agony and want to throw something at your screen round 2 of tonight’s ‘Wheel of Fortune’ is *perfect* for you,” someone else agreed.
Even while mercilessly mocking the contestants who didn’t know the answer, many fans did manage to compliment Sajak for not making fun of them too badly for not figuring out the easy puzzle.
It wouldn’t have been totally out of character for the 75-year-old gameshow host to poke fun at Laura for her ridiculous guesses. The “Wheel of Fortune” alum came under fire in 2021 for mocking a contestant’s lisp, and jokingly walked off the set during “Friends” week when a contestant failed to get an easy answer in 2014.
