‘Domestic Enemies’: Tulsi Gabbard Warns Brennan, Schiff, Big Tech Oligarchs Greater Threat To U.S. Than Capitol Rioters
Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) claimed Tuesday that former CIA Director John O. Brennan, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), and the oligarchs of Silicon Valley pose an even greater threat to American liberty than the rioters who stormed the Capitol earlier this month.
“The mob that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 to try to stop Congress from carrying out its constitutional responsibilities were behaving like domestic enemies of our country,” Gabbard said in a video to Twitter.
“But let’s be clear, the John Brennans, Adam Schiffs, and the oligarchs in Big Tech who are trying to undermine our constitutionally protected rights and turn our country into a police state with KGB-style surveillance are also domestic enemies, and much more powerful, and therefore dangerous, than the mob that stormed the Capitol,” Gabbard continued.

Gabbard went on to play a recent clip of Brennan in which he said that Biden nominees “are now moving in laser-like fashion to try to uncover as much as they can” on activities that he compared to “insurgency movements” in other parts of the world. He also lumped together “religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, nativists, even libertarians,” into what he described as “an unholy alliance.”
“President Biden, I call upon you and all members of Congress from both parties to denounce efforts by Brennan and others to take away our civil liberties endowed to us by our Creator and guaranteed in our Constitution,” Gabbard added. “If you don’t stand up to them now, then our country will be in great peril.”

Gabbard has also blasted a recent bill from Schiff ostensibly intended to curb domestic terrorism. During a recent interview with Fox News, Gabbard predicted where such legislation could go: “What characteristics are we looking for as we are building this profile of a potential extremist, what are we talking about? Religious extremists, are we talking about Christians, evangelical Christians, what is a religious extremist? Is it somebody who is pro-life? Where do you take this?”
Gabbard has not shied away from criticizing her own party on issues ranging from abortion to biological men competing in women’s sports. She most recently blasted House Democrats for removing gendered language from the House rules. As The Daily Wire reported:
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) slammed her party during an interview on Monday night over its recent decision to remove gendered language from the House of Representatives, calling the move hypocritical for the party that claims to care about women’s rights.
Gabbard made the remarks during an appearance on “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” which comes after she recently created legislation that would ban biological men from competing in women’s sports.
When Carlson asked her how removing gendered language empowers women, Gabbard responded, “It absolutely does the very opposite of that and it’s the height of hypocrisy for people who claim to be the champions of rights for women to deny the very biological existence of women and and this recent rule change that the House just actually voted and passed on today that you were talking about removing references to you know mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, from congressional rules and administration, it’s mind-blowing because it shows just how out of touch with reality and the struggles of everyday Americans people in Congress are.”
