On Tuesday, disgraced former Congresswoman Katie Hill, who resigned in late October 2019 after allegations of sexual impropriety with a staffer came to light, weighed in on Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s clothes at Barrett’s confirmation hearing for the Supreme Court, tweeting, “I hate to be someone who judges women on their clothes but I’m sorry ACB’s outfits are all way too handsmaid-y.”

The temerity of Hill, who was reportedly told to resign by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), commenting on Barrett’s modest attire had its comedic appeal, since Hill long ago admitted to having an “inappropriate” sexual affair with a young female campaign staffer after explicit photographic evidence of the affair was released online, and a “British tabloid published intimate photos of her allegedly showing her holding a bong while naked, as Politico noted.

In March 2020, Hill admitted to New York magazine that she was planning on lying about the adulterous sexual relationship with her then-campaign staffer, as The Daily Wire reported. She discussed her “throuple” relationship with the then-staffer and her then-husband, claiming her initial plan was to “just deny it …You know, honestly, it was one of those things where it was like, Well, I’ll just deny it,” as The Cut reported. “[My former campaign staffer] is not accusing me of anything. She doesn’t want it to come out any more than I do.”

Caitlin Moscatello of The Cut wrote:

This was in early December as Hill scrambled to form a new life after photos of her — some of which she said were taken without her consent — were published online in mid-October. One shows Hill nude, brushing the hair of a junior female campaign staffer, Morgan (referred to here only by first name), in a hotel room. In others, there is Hill naked, holding a bong, with a tattoo of an iron cross — a Nazi-associated symbol used by white supremacists — near her groin; Hill and Morgan kissing. The articles accompanying them include private text messages among Hill, Morgan, and Hill’s estranged husband, Kenneth Heslep, detailing a three-way romantic relationship, as well as a claim by Heslep from a since-deleted Facebook post that Hill had had an affair with her male legislative director, Graham Kelly.

Hill told Moscatello, “I had to admit that, yes, I had this relationship with a campaign staffer. So, you know, I’ve admitted to that. And once you’ve admitted to that one thing, then it brings everything else into question.”

Pelosi issued a brief statement at the time of Hill’s resignation, which included, “She has acknowledged errors in judgment that made her continued service as a Member untenable. We must ensure a climate of integrity and dignity in the Congress, and in all workplaces.”

Conservative social media wrecked Hill for her comments about Barrett:

Columnist Stephen Miller: “I mean of course Katie Hill is criticizing another woman because she’s wearing clothes.”

The Reagan Battalion: “Dressing down another woman, @KatieHill4CA? How did it go last time?”

Conservative Twitter site Comfortably Smug: “More dumb thoughts from a sexual predator.”
