Details have been released about multiple 911 calls made by the hotel staff minutes before <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/music-industry-mourns-loss-of-one-directions-liam-payne-just-a-boy">Liam Payne</a>’s shocking fatal fall from the balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was 31.
Local reports reveal that staff was very worried about the state of the former member of One Direction, after reportedly noticing the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/liam-payne-former-one-direction-member-dead-at-31">English singer</a> appeared to be under the influence before emergency crews responded to his fall from several stories at CasaSur Palermo Hotel, <a href="https://people.com/liam-payne-hotel-worker-911-call-details-made-before-death-8729513?hid=4f90b78dc31e627328d98338e1fa49d03b364abc&amp;did=14994927-20241017&amp;utm_campaign=ppl_relationship-builder&amp;utm_source=ppl&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_content=101724&amp;lctg=4f90b78dc31e627328d98338e1fa49d03b364abc&amp;lr_input=a08f4ce0dc67f7e22d138c82b9ce538ad294bfaca0b145e2f563962e58e05ef7&amp;utm_term=news-alert">People magazine</a> reported.
According to a translation of <a href="https://www.lanacion.com.ar/seguridad/el-llamado-al-911-antes-de-la-muerte-de-liam-payne-tenemos-un-huesped-que-esta-sobrepasado-de-droga-nid16102024/">La Nacion</a> of the transcript of the call, the staff made it clear they needed help “urgently&#8221; — though they didn’t use his name in the call.
The <a href="https://apnews.com/article/liam-payne-one-direction-death-487239e4f0b938a6f350a7d2f14737e4">Associated Press</a> reported that the hotel manager told the 911 operator about “a guest who is overwhelmed with drugs and alcohol. &#8230; He’s destroying the entire room and, well, we need you to send someone, please.&#8221;
A <a href="https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cj9jx89w490o">BBC transcript</a> stated that the staff said the person had been &#8220;trashing the entire room&#8221; before his death.

<a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13969581/liam-payne-hotel-room-one-direction-star-death.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Daily Mail</a> also published pictures they claimed to have come from Payne’s hotel room showing a smashed up TV and drug paraphernalia. 
In a second call, a member of the hotel staff said they worried the guest&#8217;s “life may be in danger&#8221; because he was &#8220;in a room with a balcony. We&#8217;re a little afraid that he …&#8221; the BBC reported.
<a href="https://news.sky.com/video/911-call-made-by-the-hotel-manager-prior-to-liam-paynes-death-in-argentina-13235076">Sky News</a> reported that the staff was “afraid he could do something that threatens his life,&#8221; adding that the person had been at the hotel for &#8220;three days.&#8221;
The 911 operator assured the manager that emergency crews were on the way, per the outlet. 
On Wednesday, Payne was found dead in the hotel courtyard after falling off the balcony of his hotel, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/liam-payne-former-one-direction-member-dead-at-31" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
The cause of death is currently listed as “multiple trauma” and “internal and external bleeding,” the <a href="https://apnews.com/article/liam-payne-one-direction-death-487239e4f0b938a6f350a7d2f14737e4">Associated Press</a> reported. An investigation into the circumstances of his death is underway.
The British celebrity got his break in the music industry after appearing on “The X Factor” in 2008. He returned to the reality competition show two years later along with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik, the singers who would become the popular band One Direction. The <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/liam-payne-death-one-direction-family-statement/">band split up</a> in 2016, with members deciding to take off on solo careers. 
Payne is survived by his 7-year-old son <a href="https://people.com/parents/liam-payne-cheryl-cole-welcome-baby-boy-first-child/">Bear Grey</a>.
