Actress and reality TV star Denise Richards on Friday defended her daughter Sam “Sami” Sheen, 18, for joining subscription site OnlyFans, arguing that selling a bikini photo on OnlyFans is not really different than someone uploading it for free on other social media platforms. She also mused she should get herself an account, too.
Richards’ ex-husband, actor Charlie Sheen, told Fox News Digital on Tuesday that he doesn’t approve of his daughter joining the site, which is known for hosting adult content. “She is 18 years [old] now and living with her mother,” he said. “This did not occur under my roof.”
Richards, a sex symbol in the 1990s, took a shot at Sheen in an Instagram post supporting Sami’s OnlyFans account.
“Lots of negative comments on my social this past week,” she posted. “I have to say, I wish I had the confidence my 18-year-old daughter has. And I also can’t be judgmental of her choices. I did ‘Wild Things’ & Playboy, quite frankly her father shouldn’t be either.”
Sami on Monday announced her move to OnlyFans, The Daily Wire reported: “She posted a photo of herself in a string bikini to her Instagram page, where she has 55.7K followers. ‘Click the link in my bio if u wanna see more,’ she wrote in the caption along with the kiss emoji.”

Richards admitted that she understands the site hosts adult content, but that did not stop her support.
“I recently learned about OnlyFans in the last few months,” she continued in the post. “The judgment because women & men of the adult film industry are on there. I image they’re on Instagram & Twitter as well.”
“Is there really a difference posting a picture of yourself in a bikini on [Instagram]?” Richards argued. “We’ve all done it. Because you get paid on OnlyFans? I’m pretty sure [Instagram] & Twitter & Facebook do quite well off of all of us. Is it so bad to control it & monetize it, too?”
“I’m sorry, but s*** if I can get paid and at my age? To see me in a bikini?!?! God bless you,” the reality TV star said. “Perhaps I should open my own account…”
Richards closed the post by suggesting critics are actually just perverted subscribers of OnlyFans.
“Oh & those of you that are so judgmental … sounds like you might already subscribe to an OnlyFans account,” she charged. “Have a great weekend.”
