Three-time World Series champ Curt Schilling is known for not holding back when it comes to his passionate point of view, particularly when it comes to politics.
On Tuesday, the six-time MLB all-star went on the Kansas City radio show The Drive and opened up about where he thinks this country’s headed and how terrible Hillary Clinton is.
In his spirited answer to the hosts, Schilling said the U.S. has “never been worse off domestically and abroad” and that he wants “somebody to sit in the Oval Office again that I trust.”
On the subject of Clinton, the World Series MVP said, “If she’s allowed to get to the general election before she’s in prison, I’ll be stunned and upset,” adding, “I hope she does [go to prison]. If I’m gonna believe, and I don’t have any reason not to believe, that she gave classified information on hundreds if not thousands of emails on a public server after what happened to General Petraeus, she should buried under a jail somewhere.”

The former pitcher’s statements may have him in hot water again with ESPN, which employs him as a commentator. The company has already stated that that personalities should “refrain from political editorializing.” The Boston Herald reports that with regard to this interview, the network said, “We are addressing it.”
Schilling was in trouble with his ESPN bosses last August after he tweeted a meme comparing extremist Muslims to Nazis…
Fox News reported:
“ESPN suspended Schilling soon afterward for the remainder of baseball’s regular season and throughout the postseason.
“Curt’s actions have not been consistent with his contractual obligations, nor have they been professionally handled; they have obviously not reflected well on the company,” ESPN said at the time.
He had been a part of ESPN’s main “Sunday Night Baseball” announcing booth, however, following the Nazi meme he was moved to the less prestigious Monday night crew.”
Schilling last tweeted about politics on Sunday:
