A former Andrew Cuomo press secretary is claiming in her new book that the disgraced former governor was once rebuked by his father, the late Mario Cuomo, for comparing women’s “t***ies.”

Karen Hinton, who not only worked for Cuomo but was an aide to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, accused Cuomo in March of inappropriately hugging her, saying the top Democrat was “aroused” when he pulled her in close. “I thought at that moment it could lead to a kiss, it could lead to other things, so I just pull away again, and I leave,” Hinton told The Washington Post.

“When I was Andrew’s press secretary … he told me a story about when he was in college and his father Mario Cuomo was New York Secretary of State,” Hinton wrote in her book, titled “Penis Politics,” Page Six outlined.

“Andrew and a friend of his were standing next to his father’s state car, waiting for Mario to finish up an event,” she continued. “The college-aged Andrew and his friend passed the time by comparing the attributes of breasts of women they knew: Who had large ‘t***ies,’ who had small ones, and the pros and cons of how to handle each. They were beside themselves with laughter.”

“The window came down. Unknown to them, Mario was in the car already and heard every word. The laughter stopped. Mario Cuomo was fuming. ‘Don’t ever talk that way again about women, whether I hear it or not,’ Mario lectured Andrew. No wink, wink, nod, nod from Mario Cuomo to his son,” Hinton said.

“Andrew Cuomo told New Yorkers on the day he resigned, that ‘the lines’ on behavior by men toward women had moved as he grew older,” the former aide added. “But Mario knew where the line was, even forty years earlier, and he tried to teach his son, one future governor to another.”

In response, Cuomo spokesman Rich Azzopardi ripped into Hinton by using her own past words about the former governor.

“In 2018, when Ms. Hinton was not consumed with chasing headlines to sell a book, she wrote: ‘I’ve been fortunate to have male bosses, like Andrew Cuomo and Bill de Blasio, who know how to be respectful of women even while being no-nonsense managers,’” Azzopardi wrote in a statement to Page Six.

“Consider that when gauging her credibility and this latest transparent attempt to rewrite history,” the spokesman added.

Back in August, marking the end to the governor’s three terms in office, Cuomo announced his decision to resign after numerous women came forward to accuse the governor of sexual harassment.

Notably, Cuomo denied the allegations of misconduct against him, though he did note his affectionate nature and “generational and cultural shifts” about what is and isn’t appropriate.

“In my mind, I’ve never crossed the line with anyone. But I didn’t realize the extent to which the line has been redrawn,” he said.
