Country music star Jason Aldean shared an update with fans after revealing he had to take his 4-year-old son for his first trip to the emergency room this week following an accident at the pool.
The 45-year-old singer shared the news on his Instagram story that he and wife Brittany’s son, Memphis Aldean Williams, fell while poolside and had to get several stitches under his chin. The 4-year-old “took it like a champ,” Aldean wrote in an Instagram story, according to E! News.
“Lil man had his first trip to the ER today,” Aldean wrote, alongside a photo of Memphis in a hospital bed. “Needed 2 stitches and took it like a champ. Back home and rockin’.”
Brittany also shared the news with her followers and gave a bit more of an update about how Memphis was doing.

“Our day took a turn when [Memphis] fell at the pool.. two stitches under his chin and our first official trip to the E.R.,” Brittany wrote.
“Thankful for such great nurses and one awesome doc,” she added. “He is doing great… Mama’s heart not so much.”
It is unclear where the accident took place, but Music Mayhem magazine suggested it might have occurred in the couple’s backyard at their new home in Florida.
“We are officially Florida residents again!” Brittany captioned an Instagram story earlier this month.
Her post included a picture showing a swimming pool with a hot tub surrounded by palm trees at their new home on the beach.
During an interview with the outlet earlier this year, Jason shared that they had bought a new home in the sunshine state.
“Well, we’ve had a couple houses in Florida and so we actually just bought a house,” the country superstar said. “We’re not building one, but we bought one down there that we’re kind of having some stuff done to it and we haven’t stayed in it yet though. I love it.”
Jason and Brittany tied the knot in 2015 and share two kids together, Memphis and 3-year-old daughter Navy Rome Williams.
The “Got What I Got” hitmaker is also father to daughters Keeley Williams, 19, and Kendyl Williams, 14, whom he shares with ex-wife Jessica Ussery, the outlet noted.
