CNN’s Brian Stelter desperately tried to deflect criticism from himself on Wednesday by using news aggregator Matt Drudge after Stelter was widely mocked for his embarrassing take on how the media covered a largely made-up scandal on Melania Trump’s disappearance for several days after she had surgery.
The drama with conspiracy-minded Stelter started when he attacked President Donald Trump for defending his wife from the recent cycle of media attacks on her while she was recovering from surgery.
Later in the day, political commentator Stephen Miller called out Stelter after he used a bogus argument in his “Reliable Sources” newsletter to try to defend himself from the relentless onslaught of mockery he was receiving online.
