Left-wing CNN contributor Ana Navarro filed her nails in annoyance on Wednesday night as CNN contributor Steve Cortes tried to talk about crimes committed by illegal aliens against American citizens.
Navarro made the gesture on “Cuomo Primetime” while host Chris Cuomo discussed illegal immigration and crime rates involving illegal aliens compared to U.S. citizens.
Cortes correctly stated that there are reports that dispute the notion that illegal aliens commit fewer crimes than American citizens.
“It’s fake news for you to inject BS and say that it’s equal to the real data,” Cuomo claimed.
“It’s not BS,” Cortes fired back. “Even if I were to grant you that, okay, the point is the illegal alien crime rate should be zero.”
Navarro pulled out her nail file and started filing her nails.
“You can do your nails,” Cortes told Navarro. “You know who can’t do their nails are people who have been killed, Ana, by dangerous known illegal aliens who have been allowed to stay in this country because of the leftist policies that people like you promote in so-called sanctuary cities.”
Navarro then complained that she did not like the fact that Cortes referred to her as belonging to the political Left, despite the fact that she voted in Florida’s gubernatorial race for far-left Democrat Andrew Gillum.
“I don’t care if you’re tired of it,” Cortes replied. “Go back to filing your nails.”

After the segment, Cortes took another shot at Navarro, writing on Twitter: “Know who can’t smugly file their nails Ana? Beautiful Hispanic Americans like Officer Brandon Mendoza and young mother Sandra Duran of Los Angeles. Know why? Because they’re dead — killed by illegal alien repeat offenders allowed to hide in plain sight in our country.”
