<p>In perhaps the least surprising news of all time, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/cnn-writes-the-puff-piece-of-all-puff-pieces-about-bidens-work-ethic-handling-of-classified-docs" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CNN&#8217;s public relations department</a> issued a statement saying that <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-cnn-fires-don-lemon" target="_blank" rel="noopener">now ex-CNN anchor Don Lemon</a> did not tell the truth about how he was let go from the network Monday morning.</p>
<p>Lemon claimed that network executives never &#8220;directly&#8221; told him that he was being canned. CNN says that&#8217;s &#8220;inaccurate.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;He was offered an opportunity to meet with management but instead released a statement on Twitter,&#8221; CNN&#8217;s communications team tweeted.</p>

<p>On Monday, Lemon said, &#8220;I was informed this morning by my agent that I have been terminated by CNN. I am stunned. After 17 years at CNN. I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly.”</p>
<p>He also claimed that he was effectively blindsided by his firing and was not &#8220;given any indication&#8221; that he would be let go. He blamed &#8220;larger issues at play,&#8221; without divulging more details.</p>
<p>Then he said, “They are the most talented journalists in the business, and I wish them all the best&#8221; — which should have been the biggest tell that his comment was &#8220;inaccurate.&#8221;</p>

<p>Of course, it&#8217;s a bit tricky as to who to trust here: The journalist who helped spread &#8220;disinformation&#8221; — as the Left loves to say — for so many years, or the network execs who turned &#8220;disinformation&#8221; into a business model.</p>
<p>Whatever the case, it sure would have been nice to have had CNN&#8217;s editorial oversight and instant fact-checking skills put to use when Lemon was still working there.</p>
