Canava, an L.A.-based clothing retailer decided to honor famous people who have “impressed” them during the coronavirus crisis, including Governors Andrew Cuomo (D-N.Y.) and Gavin Newsom (D-CA), along with the government’s leading immunologist, Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Canava emblazoned Cuomo, Newsom and Fauci’s names on limited editions of their women’s underwear. In its product description for Fauci bikini briefs, Canava wrote, “We are living in unlikely times, and we heard you loud and clear that you wanted to show their ‘appreciation’ with more than a thank you,” in its product description for Fauci bikini briefs.
