The coterie around Hillary Clinton started making a concerted effort on Monday to cajole MGM to release unaired tapes from The Apprentice that could decimate the presidential ambitions of Donald Trump.

Clinton National Press Secretary Brian Fallon: “Voters deserve to know the full extent of Donald Trump’s misogyny, divisiveness, and lack of temperament,” said Clinton National Press Secretary Brian Fallon, who said he believed MGM should release the tapes. “I cannot fathom why people would sit on it.”

Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri: Releasing the tapes “would be in everybody’s interest. It would be useful to know what he has said — but we don’t need more evidence to know that this is someone who demeans not just women but a lot of people in our society.”

Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill, referring to the 2005 videotape of Trump that surfaced Friday: “He had the language of a predator. If there is more evidence out there, we should see it.”

MGM Studios has owned the rights to The Apprentice since 2015.

Trump spokesman Jason Miller would not comment on the Trump campaign’s position regarding the release of the tapes, saying succinctly, “I’m not going to get into that.”

Buzzfeed reported that a a source close to Apprentice executive producer Mark Burnett said Burnett “is pro-Trump and has made clear to his teams that he will sue anyone who leaks.”

Meanwhile, a crowdfunding campaign to pay for a possible leaker’s legal fees has been created.
