Cindy Crawford Son, Presley Gerber, Dead At 27

Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, died on Sunday at the age of 27.

Gerber died at a rehab facility, according to medical records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. His cause of death has not been disclosed, and an autopsy is pending.

Crawford, Rande Gerber, and Presley’s younger sister — model and actress Kaia Gerber — confirmed his death and asked the public to respect the family’s privacy. “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” family representative Allie Jenkins said in a statement.

Presley was the only son of Crawford and Rande Gerber and followed his mother into the modeling industry. He signed with IMG Models as a teenager and made his runway debut at 16, later working with fashion houses and brands including Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry, and Tommy Hilfiger. He also appeared alongside his mother in a 2018 Pepsi Super Bowl commercial.

In recent years, Presley had been increasingly open about his struggles with mental health and substance abuse, using his social media platforms to discuss his experiences and encourage others to seek help.

“Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do,” Presley said in 2023.

In March, he posted about undergoing treatment for a psychedelic called ibogaine, writing that he had “faced what I had been running from” and felt he was “finding my way back to myself.” Presley’s mother and sister showed public support for him, commenting respectively, “You are a warrior! Walked thru the fire to find yourself! So proud!” and “That’s my brother I am so damn proud.”

It is not clear what treatment Gerber was receiving at the rehabilitation facility where he died Sunday, and authorities have not said whether his death was related to substance use. His cause and manner of death remain pending.
