There have been questions about how much U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), who is Jewish, truly supports Israel before, but now those questions have become more searing after he announced he would support notorious Israel-hater Keith Ellison to become chairman of the Democratic National Committee.
On Monday, roughly two dozen protesters occupied Schumer’s office, furious that Schumer would betray Israel in such a way. Ellison, who was the first Muslim member of Congress, has a record of viciously ripping Israel, including posting a photo of a sign in Hebron declaring Israel to be an apartheid state when he visited the Jewish state last summer; defending openly anti-Semitic Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, and urging the Democratic Party to insert pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel pranks into the Democratic Party platform at the DNC last summer.
