On Monday, Page Six of the New York Post reported that CNN anchor Chris Cuomo was allegedly caught in the nude during an Instagram Live yoga video shot by his wife Cristina. That prompted Senator Ted Cruz to mock CNN, tweeting, “It’s about time CNN embraced transparency!”

Page Six reported that Cuomo “is seemingly seen in a screengrab strutting his stuff in the buff outside his home in Southampton, where he had been broadcasting from his basement while under quarantine,” adding that the “super-fit newsman” “was allegedly seen au naturel outside, captured from behind through the large windows of their home, during an Instagram Live yoga video shot by Cristina.”
Page Six added that although the video was deleted quickly after being posted in late March, someone grabbed a screenshot.
CNN and Cuomo got blasted in April after a segment on “Cuomo Prime Time” claimed that Cuomo had just emerged from quarantine in his basement after testing positive with the coronavirus. As The Daily Wire reported:
The controversy centers around a police report that was filed over a week ago by a man who claimed that he got into a verbal altercation with Cuomo after he encountered Cuomo allegedly violating quarantine after Cuomo tested positive for the coronavirus a couple of weeks ago.
“Over Easter weekend, Cuomo was reportedly involved in a heated altercation that took place at his East Hampton property after a bicyclist claimed that the CNN anchor was violating quarantine guidelines that were being enforced by his brother, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo,” Fox News reported. “A 65-year-old East Hampton resident named David was riding his bike on Easter Sunday when he spotted who he thought was the CNN anchor with two women and three children outside on their property. Cuomo had been recovering from his widely publicized coronavirus diagnosis.”
NewsBusters Managing Editor Curtis Houck tweeted of the “Cuomo Prime Time” segment: “This is a proven lie. As usual, CNN doesn’t care about the facts (or most of you).”

Political commentator Stephen Miller wrote: “This is a performative lie. There is a police report and witnesses. Any comment on this one @mdornic or do you think your audience is somehow as full of s*** as your on air anchors? Like holy s***, this isn’t a news network. Between this and Stelter turning a bedtime cry into a 4 day personal news cycle. What the f*** is going on over there? @mdornic”

In January, after Sen. Martha McSally (R-AZ) called CNN’s Manu Raju a “liberal hack,” Cuomo targeted McSally, snapping that she “acted like a punk today; she did a disservice to herself and the seat that she holds, which was held by John McCain.” He claimed McSally insulted Raju because she wanted to “impress” President Trump.
Cruz fired back at Cuomo on Twitter. He began by tweeting, “NY Dem royalty Chris Cuomo declares ‘I can’t believe people would vote for’ McSally, or McConnell, or any GOP candidate. Clutching his pearls, in the very same breath, he says he can’t understand why anyone might think CNN are liberal hacks….” He then offered some free advice for Cuomo: “Pro tip: real ‘journalists’ don’t (1) kiss up to every Dem, (2) refuse to ask them hard Qs, (3) relentlessly attack every Republican, (4) lie when doing so & (5) always, always push the prevailing Dem narrative of the moment. You know this, as does Manu. You just choose not to.”
