China Attempts End-Run Around Trump On Paris Accord By Appealing To U.S. States

In an attempt to circumvent President Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Accord on Climate change, China is appealing to various states in the U.S. to ignore Trump and play along with climate change activists.

The Wall Street Journal reported that last week California Gov. Jerry Brown, a climate change zealot, was welcomed to Beijing to meet with President Xi Jinping. Xie Zhenhua, China’s special envoy for climate change, complained to Brown regarding Trump’s decision, “I am so deeply disappointed.”
