OK, things have gotten off to a weird start in 2018.
No, not President Trump and Kim Jong Un talking about their nuclear weapon buttons. We’re talking about Chelsea Clinton wishing the Church of Satan a happy new year.
It began (sort of) when The Church of Satan, a verified Twitter account with nearly 150,000 followers, tweeted to Clinton and (for some reason) model Chrissy Teigen, “The never ending excitement here is never ending.”
But you’ve got to go back before that. Teigen and her husband, singer John Legend, threatened to sue an online conspiracy theorist who claims the couple was part of the “pizzagate” pedophilia scandal. Liz Crokin, verified by Twitter until Legend and Teigen complained, claimed the two “flaunt illuminati symbolism,” have satanist friends and “run in circle with people who rape, torture & traffic kids.”
Well, Clinton jumped in to comfort Tiegen, posting this:
After the Church of Satan joined the conversation, Tiegen asked “what. is. happening.”
Twitterers were enjoying the back and forth.
And so on.
