On Friday, Carrie Fisher, 60, the actress who played Princess Leia in the Star Wars series, suffered a massive heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles, according to E! News.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said they received an emergency call at 12:11 p.m. PST. When the flight landed, paramedics were ready to offer “advanced life support” and aggressive treatment before talking Fisher to the hospital.
Actress Anna Akana, also aboard the flight, said some passengers administered CPR, as well as an EMT in the flight; Fisher was struck roughly 15 minutes before the plane was scheduled to land.
The Los Angeles Times reported that Fisher was in critical condition after she was transported to UCLA Medical Center by LAFD paramedics.
