The Rio Olympics is quickly turning into the Green Games as pool after pool is turning from blue to a nice lime-Jello hue.
On Tuesday. the diving pool went completely green; on Wednesday the water polo event followed suit. On Friday, officials closed the diving pool with the hope of giving it more time to return to the inviting blue shade that at least would give you the impression it’s safe to swim in.
But it turns out, the color may not be the only issue. One German athlete reportedly said “the whole building smells like a fart”:
