Candace Owens‘ urban outreach nonprofit BLEXIT is joining forces with conservative activist group Turning Point USA (TPUSA), the organization announced Monday.

Effective immediately, TPUSA, co-founded and run by Charlie Kirk, will power BLEXIT, providing resources, staff, and infrastructure to bolster the group’s outreach efforts. Owens co-founded BLEXIT with former police officer and conservative commentator Brandon Tatum back in 2018; both Owens and Tatum have worked with TPUSA.

“Charlie and I have known each other for a long time. And we’ve been discussing our shared goals and visions for this country — to empower people — to embrace freedom and value faith and family. We both realize that we are stronger together,” Owens said of the merger. “By joining together, we believe this will be a force multiplier for both BLEXIT and for TPUSA.”

“Candace and Brandon are two of the most influential conservative Americans in the country, full stop, and TPUSA is thrilled and honored to be part of their vision for transforming and empowering urban communities,” Kirk said in a statement. “TPUSA was the incubator for some of the ideas that gave birth to the BLEXIT vision, and we’ve celebrated from afar what Candace and Brandon have achieved. Now we get to lend some of the resources, staff, and infrastructure that we’ve built at TPUSA to build on that foundation.”

Tatum said he looks forward to the outreach group’s “new direction” and is “excited about the possibility of new opportunities this could bring to the black community in America.”

“Since the beginning, BLEXIT has been about reaching more people who need to see themselves as victors, not victims, empowered, not oppressed,” Tatum added. “If just a small fraction of the black community in America catch the vision, we can change the entire country.”

BLEXIT, founded by Owens and Tatum in 2018, now boasts 44 State Chapters, 14,000-plus volunteer members, and more than 60,000 supporters. Rejecting the mainstream narrative, the pair focused BLEXIT toward empowering minorities to take advantage of opportunities in the U.S. and, importantly, view themselves as victors, not victims.

The organization promotes the core values of “freedom, family, and faith,” and works to shift culture through “electric live events, thoughtful grassroots organizing, and inspiring educational initiatives.”

Some 2,000-plus people back in 2020 marched in a BLEXIT event held in Washington, D.C., which included attendees breaking out in the national anthem. “Black Lives Matter protests end with rioting, looting, and the destruction of minority communities,” Owens highlighted at the time. “BLEXIT protests end with 2,000+ black and Latino Americans singing the national anthem.”

Recently, Owens exposed the multi-million dollar “grift” of the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation and its former Executive Director Patrisse Cullors in a bombshell Daily Wire+ documentary, “The Greatest Lie Ever Sold.”

The mother-of-two, though, has been riling up the media and allied leftwing figures since even before the inception of BLEXIT, largely due to her repeated refusal to echo race-based narratives her critics suggest she is supposed to hold as a black woman.
