Bruce Willis’ wife, Emma Hemming, shut down reports that her husband’s ex-wife, Demi Moore, had moved in with the couple following the actor’s dementia diagnosis.
Hemming posted a message on her Instagram Story on Wednesday responding to a headline that read, “Demi Moore ‘Moved In’ With Ex Bruce Willis & His Wife To Help Care For Him After Heartbreaking Dementia Diagnosis: Source.”
“Let’s nip this one in the bud,” Hemming wrote. “This is so dumb. Please stop.”
The post came a day after she responded to other claims that she was using her husband’s frontotemporal dementia [FTD] diagnosis for her “five minutes” of fame.
“I’m always going to advocate for my husband and raise awareness around FTD and for caregivers who are unsung heroes out there,” she said in an Instagram video.

“And then I’m going to turn my grief and anger and sadness and do something good around something that feels less than,” she added. “So, watch this space because I didn’t come to play.”
In February, Willis’ family shared a joint statement that the 67-year-old actor had been officially diagnosed with the disease following a report a year earlier that he was diagnosed with aphasia.
“Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis,” the statement read. “In the spirit of that, we wanted to give you an update about our beloved husband, father and friend since we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing.”

“Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD),” the statement added. “Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.”
The statement was signed by Emma, their two daughters Mabel and Evelyn, along with Willis’ ex-wife Demi and their adult daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah.
