Montana Republican Senator Steve Daines may not be in Washington, D.C. on Saturday to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court because of a scheduling conflict that he reportedly has.
NBC Montana reporter Maritsa Georgiou tweeted that Daines will “be walking his daughter down the aisle at her Montana wedding, regardless of the #KavanaughVote that could take place this weekend.”
The Washington Post said that a spokesperson for Daines confirmed that he will not be present for the Kavanaugh confirmation vote.
“The Senate will be in session at 9:30 tomorrow morning,” McConnell tweeted shortly after news broke about Daines. “Under the regular order, the vote to advance the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court will be at 10:30.”
