On Friday night, three Israelis were stabbed to death by a Palestinian terrorist in the West Bank, according to the Israeli military. Two of the victims, a woman in her 60s and a man in his 30s, died at a time of the attack. The third victim, a woman in her 70s, later died of wounds inflicted during the attack.
The vicious attack occurred during the eve of Shabbat, a holy night in the Jewish week when families come together to take stock of all their blessings. The Palestinian terrorist attacked his three Israeli victims after he infiltrated a home at the Halamish settlement at a time when he presumably knew that Jews were particularly vulnerable and off-guard.
This comes as Palestinians heed the battle cries of both Palestinian Authority (Fatah) and Hamas leaders to engage in bloody violence and martyr themselves in honor of the Day of Rage.
Palestinian leaders see Israel’s installation of metal detectors at the entrance of the Temple Mount as a direct attack on the al-Aqsa mosque.
The claim is particularly farcical given the fact that the extra security precautions were implemented in the wake of an Islamist terror attack last week carried out by three Arab-Israelis who used guns smuggled in from the al-Aqsa to murder two Israeli-Druze police officers.
Since then, Palestinian rioters have been clashing with Israeli security forces, demanding open and unguarded access to all holy shrines in Jerusalem.
