California Senator Barbara Boxer, who defeated Carly Fiorina’s challenge for her Senate seat in 2010, has decided to go full-bore in her attacks on her erstwhile rival, implying that she is not a real woman and that she is cold-hearted.
On Monday, speaking on MSNBC, Boxer first noted Fiorina’s attacks on Planned Parenthood, snickering, “ … for her to be the only woman in the race, and stand with the men, and attack a woman’s right to choose and women’s healthcare and show that lack of respect …”
The Senator’s statement was clearly designed to imply that only a leftist woman is a real woman, a time-worn cliché that was applied to Sarah Palin as well as other conservative women.
Boxer then mocked Fiorina’s rise in the polls, blustering that the surge will evaporate because her gift of gab conceals an unattractive person. “Oh, she’s bouncing for sure,” said Boxer. “But, you know, she’s bouncing because she really is very articulate. She’s very good with words, (but) I think when people see her deeds and see her mean-spiritedness, she won’t be on the top anymore.”

A real woman, according to the left, must endorse abortion as a woman’s right, find a meaningful career other than the bearing and raising of children, and never put herself at the mercy of consulting a man for guidance, as that would imply her weakness. Yet polls show that married women are far happier than their single counterparts. A University of Virginia study revealed that married women are twice as likely to say they’re very happy than single women. A study conducted by the National Bureau of Economic Research in Canada found that Married couples were happier than single people.
Boxer, a fierce defender of the organization, has called the attacks on Planned Parenthood, ” … a war … It is a war on women’s health, it is not about abortion. Planned Parenthood spends 97% of its dollars on non-abortion related services …”
Since 1970, Planned Parenthood has performed over 6 million abortions; roughly one-quarter of all abortions in America are performed at its facilities.
Fiorina, conversely, blistered the organization at the recent GOP presidential debate, snapping, “Anyone who has watched this videotape, I dare Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama to watch these tapes. Watch a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking while someone says, ‘We have to keep it alive to harvest its brain.’ This is about the character of our nation, and if we will not stand up and force President Obama to veto this bill, shame on us.”
Note Boxer evaded the issue of the millions of lives lost due to Planned Parenthood while Fiorina focused on the single life lost every time a woman undergoes an abortion. One chooses money, the other, life. Which one is the real woman?
