BIPARTISAN AMNESTY: Trump Tells Press ‘Chuck And Nancy Want To See Something Happen And So Do I’

Now that he’s essentially backing away from any strong commitment to dealing with illegal immigration, as he kicked the can down the road by saying that if Congress doesn’t act he might not end DACA, suddenly President Trump is best-buds with former targets Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi:

That’s ironic, since Trump’s path to the GOP nomination was paved by insisting he would be the toughest of the tough on immigration. And since when did he stop slamming the Democrats’ Dynamic Duo? He wasn’t so shy before:

That was in January. This, from June:

Trump was the same guy who stated in June 2016:

The election, and the Supreme Court appointments that come with it will decide whether or not we have a border and, hence, a country. Clinton has pledged to expand Obama’s executive amnesty, hurting poor African-American and Hispanic workers by giving away their jobs and federal resources to illegal immigrant labor — while making us all less safe. It is time to protect our country and Make America Safe Again and Great Again for everyone … (Obama’s) executive amnesty … wiped away the immigration rules written by Congress, giving work permits and entitlement benefits to people illegally in the country.

But now, Trump is buddying up with the very people who support what he had targeted in his run for office.
