Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen had a hilarious excuse for not holding the car door open for his actress girlfriend Hailee Steinfeld after a video surfaced from their recent trip to France.
Allen hit back at the online criticism of failing to be a gentleman while the two were out to dinner in Paris, the Daily Mail reported.
“My pants ripped at dinner…Didn’t want cheeks out… I love Paris,” Allen wrote on X in the post that has since gone viral.
While there’s no video or pictures of the wardrobe malfunction, paparazzi did capture the NFL star rushing out of a car appearing to hold up his pants with some kind of shirt or jacket around his waist. He was then followed by the “Pitch Perfect 2” star, who was helped out of the car by another person.

Once the footage surfaced, social media shared their thoughts and basically blasted Allen.
“Not even hold her hand, or helping her out of the car,” one fan wrote in the video’s comments section, adding that Allen could “take some man lessons from Travis Kelce on how to treat your lady.” Kelce is currently dating pop star Taylor Swift.
Another added, “Bro didn’t even help her out or open the door for her.”
While a third wrote, “Why didn’t he wait for her?”
Allen and Steinfeld were first linked together in May 2023. At the time, a source said the relationship was new, “but they are having fun.”
In October, the couple finally went public with their romance after being photographed while attending a professional hockey game.

As of February, a source confirmed to the outlet that their relationship was “serious.”
“They always planned to spend more time together after his season ended,” the source said. “Things have been going really well. They’re both very family-oriented and driven, and they want to protect their relationship and keep it private. They’ve been on the same page with all of that.”
Before Allen started dating the “Hawkeye” star he was in a long-term romance with social media influencer and Pilates instructor Brittany Williams, the New York Post noted.
