Well, the American people are one step closer to looking into President Joe Biden’s eyes and understanding his soul like he did to Russian President Vladimir Putin that one time — as Biden likes to claim. On Wednesday, Biden told a group of teachers and other White House guests that the “the greatest sin anyone can commit is the abuse of power.”

During an event at the White House honoring National and State Teachers of the Year, the commander-in-chief forayed into the topic of ethics and morality.

“I got involved in politics because I think the greatest sin anyone can commit is the abuse of power,” Biden told a group of teachers and other White House guests from the East Room on Wednesday.

His comments can be seen here:

Biden — of course — has been accused of numerous scandals throughout his decades in public office that could rise to the level of abuse of power.

What some see as the most concerning abuse of power is the possibility that members of his family — such as his son Hunter Biden and brother Jim Biden — reportedly used the family’s last name and Biden’s position to secure lucrative contracts and salaries overseas, including with Chinese elites. There is even speculation that Biden personally benefited, raising questions about what influence foreign actors might have had over Biden as he has sat in some of the highest levels of power.

The Daily Wire recently reported that Biden bragged about being one of the poorest members of Congress while claiming politicians shouldn’t make money while in office.

“Biden’s claim that politicians should not make money while serving the people appeared to fly in the face of reports — and even Hunter Biden’s own admission — that the family name was used to secure meetings and possibly even grease the wheels of foreign business transactions” The Daily Wire noted.

“It is impossible for me to be on any boards … without saying that I’m the son of the vice president of the United States — lots of things would not happen in my life if my name wasn’t Biden,” Hunter Biden told ABC News in late 2019.

Potential pieces of evidence from “Hunter Biden’s laptop, which were passed off by legacy media and numerous former intelligence officials as Russian misinformation in the weeks leading up to the 2020 presidential election,” potentially implicate Biden in a money-making scheme.

As pointed out by the Republican National Committee, an email allegedly from Hunter’s associate claims that Biden agreed to pay Hunter’s legal bills for a deal with China.

A recent report also claims that Hunter’s “closest business partner spent a lot of time visiting the White House between 2009 and 2015 — and he apparently even scored a meeting with ‘the big guy’ himself.”

As noted by The Daily Wire, the “fact that Hunter’s business partner was a regular presence at the White House could blow yet another hole in Biden’s often-repeated claim that he ‘knew nothing’ of Hunter’s foreign business dealings.”

Hunter’s former business associate has also alleged that Hunter would set aside certain amounts of money for his father from dealings he made by using the Biden name and connections to his dad.

In 2020, The Daily Wire reported that Tony Bobulinski gave a statement to the New York Post “testifying to the veracity of one email exchange from Hunter’s alleged laptop outlining a plan to split the equity in a new business venture” with a former executive at a Chinese energy company. The email showed “H,” a reference to Hunter, getting 20%, and holding 10% for “the big guy,” who Bobulinski identified as Joe Biden.

“What I am outlining is fact,” Bobulinski said in 2020. “I know it is fact because I lived it. I am the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings, which was a partnership between the Chinese operating through CEFC/Chairman Ye and the Biden family. I was brought into the company to be the CEO by James Gilliar and Hunter Biden. The reference to ‘the Big Guy’ in the much publicized May 13, 2017 email is in fact a reference to Joe Biden. The other ‘JB’ referenced in that email is Jim Biden, Joe’s brother.”

This is not the first time that Biden has opined about “abuse of power.” After leaving the vice presidency, Biden told Oprah that he believes people abuse power because they “are seduced by the notion that they are so self-important, that they really matter. In fact, it is not usually the case.”

If the reports about Hunter and his dad are true, Biden’s comments to Oprah should serve as a pretty sharp rebuke of both men’s moral characters and public integrity.
