BACKLASH: Florida Governor Demands FBI Director Resign Over Florida Shooting

   DailyWire.com

Florida Governor Rick Scott called for the resignation of FBI Director Christopher Wray on Friday following the news that the FBI once again failed to act to stop a mass shooter by not following protocol after receiving tips from the public.

In a press release, Scott slammed the FBI for failing to take action after receiving information last month about “[Nikolas] Cruz’s gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting.”

“The FBI’s failure to take action against this killer is unacceptable,” Scott wrote. “The FBI has admitted that they were contacted last month by a person who called to inform them of Cruz’s ‘desire to kill people,’ and ‘the potential of him conducting a school shooting.'”

Scott highlighted how the families of 17 will now be permanently anguished over the loss of their loved ones because a bureau that is tasked with protecting Americans failed to do its job.

“We constantly promote ‘see something, say something,’ and a courageous person did just that to the FBI,” Scott continued. “And the FBI failed to act. ‘See something, say something’ is an incredibly important tool and people must have confidence in the follow through from law enforcement. The FBI Director needs to resign.”
