Arizona Republican Rep. Andy Biggs applauded Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott for his plan to send illegal immigrants caught crossing the border to the steps of the U.S. Capitol, challenging Arizona Republican Gov. Doug Ducey to join Texas to help the Biden regime “see reality.”
Biggs shared the remark in a Twitter post on Thursday.
“@GregAbbott_TX‘s decision to transport illegal aliens from Texas to the steps of the U.S. Capitol is warranted,” Biggs tweeted.
“The Biden regime and Dems sit comfortably in their DC offices as the border worsens,” he added. “It’s time they see reality. I call on @DougDucey to follow @GregAbbott_TX.

On Wednesday, Biggs had spoken out on social media regarding White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki’s confirmation that the Biden administration is giving free smartphones to illegal immigrants in an attempt to track migrants once they’re released in the United States.

On Tuesday, Biggs spoke at an event in Washington to criticize the Biden administration’s decision to end Title 42, a Trump-era medical policy that allows federal authorities to turn away immigrants at the southern border to decrease the spread of COVID-19.
“The Biden Admin’s decision to lift the Title 42 public health order at the southern border is reckless and thoughtless,” Biggs posted on Twitter. “But make no mistake, it was purposeful.”

Last week, Biggs sent a letter along with 20 of his House colleagues to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to demand information about Russian nationals illegally entering the United States and being released into the interior of the country by DHS.
“Americans deserve to know who is attempting to illegally enter the country and whether they are being released into the country,” Biggs wrote in a statement.
“I’ve been recently made aware of reports of an increase in Russians attempting to enter the country and have serious concerns of what this could mean for our national security. Secretary Mayorkas must provide more clarity about this situation, especially as national security threats from Russia increase given the current situation in Ukraine,” he added.
Abbott first announced plans to send illegal immigrants to the steps of the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday. The Daily Wire reported:
During a press conference, Abbott announced several new actions his administration is taking to expand Operation Lone Star, a state government effort to curb illegal immigration into the state from Mexico.
Abbott announced new actions as the Biden administration plans to lift Title 42, a Trump-era border policy that has allowed the United States, on the basis of COVID-19, to stop migrants from entering the country. The Biden administration plans to officially scrap the policy in late May and is preparing for an influx of immigrants.
“With the Biden administration ending Title 42 expulsions in May, Texas will be taking its own unprecedented actions this month to do what no state in America has ever done in the history of this country to better secure our state, as well as our nation,” Abbott said.
