Aerosmith announced Friday that the remaining 2023 dates for the “Peace Out” tour have been canceled.
In a post on Facebook, the Steven Tyler-lead group shared that the 2023 and 2024 upcoming tour dates were all being postponed due to Tyler’s “vocal injury,” which it said was more serious than the band previously believed.
“To our fans: Unfortunately, Steven’s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought,” the post read. “His doctor has confirmed that in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, he fractured his larynx which requires ongoing care.”
“He is receiving the best medical treatment available to ensure his recovery is swift, but given the nature of a fracture, he is being told patience is essential,” it added.
“As a result, all the currently scheduled PEACE OUT shows must be postponed to sometime in 2024, with new dates to be announced as soon as we know more, the message continued.
The post ended with a comment from Tyler about being “heartbroken.”
“I am heartbroken to not be out there with Aerosmith, my brothers and the incredible Black Crowes, rocking with the best fans in the world,” the lead singer’s message read. “I promise we will be back as soon as we can!’ – Love, Steven.”
The news comes following an earlier announcement from the band this month that they would need to reschedule a few dates of the tour in 2024 because of his vocal injury after doctors told him he must stop singing for 30 days.

“I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days,” Tyler wrote. “I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding. We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.’ – Steven Tyler.”

“All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates,” it added. “Refunds will be available for those unable to attend. Fans with questions regarding refunds are asked to reach out to their point of purchase.”
The “Peace Out” tour launched September 2 in Philadelphia with shows that were scheduled throughout the rest of the year ending in January 2024. More information about the tour can be found on the band’s website.
