Shock-jock, Howard Stern, had movie star Adam Sandler on his radio show Tuesday, and the actor wasn’t holding back how he feels when artist’s boycott the Jewish state.
When the discussion of boycotts of Israel came up, Sandler unloaded on what he suggested was the hypocrisy of celebrities who “single out Israel.”
“I’m very pro-Israel and when someone says sh** about Israel, I know people say sh** about Israel and they f***ing won’t play there… and when you go off on Roger Waters, I love that you do that,” said Sandler. “I’m disgusted that they single out Israel that [they say], ‘We can’t play Israel.’ All these f***ing nice Israeli people are getting a ‘f*** you’ from Roger Waters.”
Stern, who’s also vocal in his support of Israel, called out Roger Waters of Pink Floyd last month for championing artists to boycott the Jewish state. Stern said, “There’s so many countries with histories of abuse and slavery, but he’s very focused on Israel. To me, he comes off like an anti-Semite.”
Howard followed up with Sandler, asking if he’s religious.
“I’m not crazy religious but I’m very, like I said, where I grew up where being proud of being a Jew and that’s what I am,” said Sandler.
