Double-0-seven star Pierce Brosnan has reportedly found himself in some trouble after he ventured off the path on a trip to Yellowstone National Park.
The 70-year-old actor was cited for reportedly venturing into the off-limits “thermal area” at the national park, the Messenger reported.
Court documents showed the James Bond star was cited in U.S. District Court for “foot travel in a thermal area” and for a “closure violation” at Mammoth Terrace.
The date when the reported incident occurred was listed as November 1, and an initial court date regarding the matter has been set for January 23.
Brosnan, who has been in the area recently while filming a Western called “Unholy Trinity” with Samuel L. Jackson, has yet to respond to the reports.
The “Golden Eye” star — who appeared in four James Bond films — became the latest tourist to wind up in hot water for venturing off the path into prohibited areas in Yellowstone, the outlet noted.
Despite the park’s numerous safety warnings about the dangers of the hot springs, which it said “have injured or killed more people in Yellowstone than any other natural feature,” tourists continued to enter the closed-off areas.
“Boardwalks and trails protect you and delicate thermal formations,” a warning on the NPS website read. “Water in hot springs can cause severe or fatal burns, and scalding water underlies most of the thin, breakable crust around hot springs.”
Earlier this year, a man got in trouble after he allegedly tried to enter the park’s hot spring while drunk, Men’s Journal noted. He was hit with federal criminal charges.

Another person got into trouble after being caught on video putting a hand into a scalding geothermal pond, the outlet added.
Last year, a Los Angeles man’s foot in a shoe was discovered floating in a Wyoming hot spring after he vanished while visiting the park, NBC News reported.
“Based on a lack of evidence, the circumstances surrounding the death of [70-year-old Il Hun] Ro remain unknown,” the statement at the time read. The report noted no foul play was suspected.
