His holiness the Dalai Lama believes that “too many” Muslim refugees have poured into Europe.
"Europe, for example Germany, cannot become an Arab country," the Buddhist spiritual figurehead told German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung on Tuesday. "Germany is Germany. There are so many that in practice it becomes difficult."
Drawing a sharp contrast with Pope Francis’ Islamophilic sycophancy, the Dalai Lama suggested that Muslim Arab refugees should instead “rebuild their countries.”
"When we look into the face of every single refugee, especially the children and women, we can feel their suffering," he stated. "The goal should be that they return and help rebuild their countries."
The Tibetan leader even implied that Europe’s “tolerant” absorption of Muslim refugees was effectively immoral. “From a moral standpoint" refugees should "only be accommodated temporarily" argued the Dalai Lama.
To date, Germany has accepted over 1 million Muslim Arab refugees.
As the face of the Tibetan nationalist opposition against China, the Dalai Lama has devoted his life to fighting for an independent Tibet. He is widely respected by diplomats worldwide, meeting with foreign delegations perennially. In effect, the world’s most widely recognized Buddhist monk holds immense sway when it comes to correcting the wayward moral compass of multiculturalism-obsessed Europe.
Already, German Chancellor Angela Merkel has expressed her reservations and regrets about allowing such a large quantity of Muslim migrants through the gates of Europe. Even the far-left Guardian newspaper has highlighted Merkel’s conundrum.
“The nadir of Merkel’s open-door policy was reached during New Year celebrations in Cologne, when hundreds of women were reported as having been sexually harassed and raped by men of largely north African and Arabic background,” reports the Guardian. “The repercussions were immense and pressure was put on Merkel to close German borders.”
As The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro reported:
Now it turns out that Germans are so unhappy with Merkel’s “courageous” policy that Merkel is now backing off the policy...she said the flow of refugees would have to be “noticeably reduced.” She called the refugee crisis Germany’s “rendezvous with globalization” and added, “The war in Syria, the barrel bombings by Assad, the spread of IS in Syria and Iraq, the fact that Libya has no functioning government, the situation in Afghanistan – all that is no longer far away but has come to us.”...
Merkel read the tea leaves: her polls have been slipping for months. In October, she spoke before a party meeting, and members of the party bashed her as ushering in a “national disaster,” with some holding a banner reading, “Stop the refugee chaos – save German culture + values – dethrone Merkel.”
In fact, Merkel’s own party was skewered in the latest elections, with many voters holding a referendum against the German leader’s open door policy.
“Angela Merkel was rebuked by members of her own camp,” Jürgen Falter, a political scientist at the University of Mainz told The Wall Street Journal. “Those who support her aren’t members of her camp.”
Even Europe’s naive “tolerance” has its limits. Ultimately, the continent is realizing that perhaps a mass influx of Muslim migrants during the age of terror may signal the collapse of European society.
