There’s only so much disrespect one man can take—especially if it’s targeted at his wife.
On Thursday, after Donald Trump repeatedly attacked Texas Senator Ted Cruz’s wife Heidi, an irate Cruz forcefully blasted gutless Trump: “Donald, you’re a sniveling coward and leave Heidi the hell alone,” commanded Cruz.
“Donald does seem to have an issue with women,” started the Republican presidential contender while campaigning in Wisconsin. “Donald doesn’t like strong women; strong women scare Donald. He ran away from the last debate that was scheduled, because he was scared of Megyn Kelly.”
Cruz continued, calling out Trump for his disgusting attacks on his wife: "It's not easy to tick me off. I don't get angry often," said a visibly irritated Cruz. "But you mess with my wife, you mess with my kids, that'll do it every time. Donald, you are a sniveling coward and leave Heidi the hell alone."
"Donald you are a sniveling coward and leave Heidi the hell alone."
"Our spouses and our children are off bounds," added the Senator. "It is not acceptable for a big loud New York bully to attack my wife."
The whole back-and-forth with Trump and Cruz began after an anti-Trump Super Pac, completely unaffiliated with Cruz, posted an image of Trump’s wife, Melania, posing nude for GQ Magazine. Melania is a model; the photo shoot was part of her job. Mrs. Trump consented to posing nude and was compensated. But in Trump’s mind, the photo was off-limits and somehow Ted Cruz’s fault, for which Heidi must pay.
Petulant Trump then threatened to “spill the beans” about Heidi Cruz. Many have suspected that Trump was referring to publicizing details concerning a private bout of clinical depression Mrs. Cruz previously temporarily battled. Truly classless stuff from team Trump.
Cruz responded by informing Trump that he was not affiliated with the image and called the real estate mogul a “coward” for threatening his wife.
And because literally nothing is beneath the thin-skinned billionaire, he proceeded to retweet an unflattering photo of Mrs. Cruz side-by-side with a clearly touched-up photo of his supermodel wife. Because to Trump, this is the only thing that matters about women: how they look.
The sexist, despicable caption reads: “A picture is worth a thousand words.”
It's a complete mystery why The Donald is tanking with women, said no one ever.
