WATCH: Voters React To Bernie Running For President. It's Not Good For Bernie.

Voters laughed on Tuesday over socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders' (I-VT) announcement that he is running for president, saying that he is a gift to the Republican Party.

Sanders, who announced his run on Tuesday, "immediately resorted to blasting out a series of personal insults at President Donald Trump" during his announcement yet was not "able to provide any evidence to back up his brutal description of Trump," The Daily Wire reported.

In a segment that aired on "FOX & Friends," several diners in a Miami restaurant were asked to respond to the announcement.

"I can't stop laughing ... it’s a gift to the Republican Party and Trump," one man said. "They're so out of touch with reality, they're selling kool-aid, they've been doing it on the campuses for years and now it's spread out and they have this utopian idea of 'everything is wonderful' ... people don't get it, it doesn't work."

"Send in the clowns," another man said. "Look at their list of characters running, it's socialist's whose who."

"Socialism is destructive and I think that Bernie's vision for America is destructive as well," a third man said.

A fourth man said Sander's announcement was "almost laughable."

"It's bad for the Democrats and great for the Republicans," a fifth man said.

A sixth man called Sanders a "unicorn," because "he promises all these great things, and rainbows, and wonderful things, and he can't deliver on that. History has shown that socialism does not work in any country, they promise the poor and downtrodden all these wonderful things that never happen."

Sanders’ announcement came one day after President Donald Trump slammed socialism in a speech to the Venezuelan American community at Florida International University's Ocean Bank Convocation Center in Miami, Florida. Highlights from Trump’s speech included the following:

Socialism promises prosperity, but it delivers poverty. Socialism promises unity, but it delivers hatred and it delivers division. Socialism promises a better future, but it always returns to the darkest chapters of the past. That never fails. It always happens.

Socialism is a sad and discredited ideology rooted in the total ignorance of history and human nature, which is why socialism, eventually, must always give rise to tyranny, which it does. Socialists profess a love of diversity, but they always insist on absolute conformity.

We know that socialism is not about justice, it's not about equality, it's not about lifting up the poor. Socialism is about one thing only: power for the ruling class. And the more power they get, the more they crave. They want to run healthcare, run transportation and finance, run energy, education — run everything. They want the power to decide who wins and who loses, who’s up and who’s down, what’s true and what’s false, and even who lives and who dies.

In short, all of us here today know that there is nothing less democratic than socialism. Everywhere and anywhere it appears, socialism advances under the banner of progress, but in the end, it delivers only corruption, exploitation, and decay.
