Four inmates have escaped from a Georgia jail, authorities said, including one man who has been accused of murder.
The inmates escaped from the Bibb County Detention Center early Monday morning through a damaged day room window and a cut fence, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post. The escape occurred around 3:00 a.m., with a blue Dodge Challenger pulling up outside the jail and helping the inmates flee.
The escaped inmates include 52-year-old Joey Fournier, a white male with gray hair and blue eyes, who was being held at the detention center for alleged murder. The other three inmates are 24-year-old Marc Kerry Anderson, a black man being held for aggravated assault; 37-year-old Johnifer Dernard Barnwell, a black man being detained for the United States Marshals; and 29-year-old Chavis Demaryo Stokes, a black man being held for possession of a firearm and drug trafficking.
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about the location of the inmates or the vehicle used in their escape to call 478-751-7500 or Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME. People can also call the tip line at 478-310-4502 or 478-310-4485.
The sheriff’s office and Crime Stoppers are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of each inmate, for a total of $4,000.
The Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the FBI, and the U.S. Marshals Service are also looking for the inmates, NBC News reported. Bibb County Sheriff David Davis said at a news conference on Monday that the inmates could be anywhere and may still be together or have split up.

“Somebody that sees this tonight knows where these four people are, and somebody is probably laughing at the TV set saying, ‘They’ll never get us,'” Davis said. “We will catch them. They will come back to jail. It’s just a matter of time.”
This is the latest prison escape to make headlines this year, following the escape of convicted child sex offender Tommy Wayne Boyd in September, along with nine juvenile inmates in Pennsylvania, convicted killer Danelo Cavalcante, also from Pennsylvania. Another inmate escaped from the same jail as Cavalcante earlier in the year. All of these escapees have been captured.
