The rap wars are underway again.
Rapper Snoop Dogg on Monday called Kanye West an “Uncle Tom” over his support of President Donald Trump's "America First" agenda in an Instagram comment Monday.
Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, wrote his comment on an Instagram thread authored by music producer Pooh, who had posted a picture of West wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat with the caption “MAGA – Music Ain’t Getting Attention."
“Make ya music great again nigga," Broadus wrote. "“Uncle Tom. Ass nigga."
Over the weekend, West appeared on the season premiere of "Saturday Night Live," where he delivered a pro-Trump diatribe and ripped Democrats and the liberal media.
“So many times I talk to a white person about this and they say ‘how can you like Trump? He’s racist,” said West, wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat. “If I was concerned about racism, I would have moved out of America a long time ago.”
"You see they laughing at me. You heard 'em, they scream at me, they bully me. They bullied me backstage," said West, who has said he's considering a presidential run in 2020. "They said, 'Don't go out there with that hat on.' They bullied me backstage. They bullied me." ...
"And the liberals bully you and tell you what you can and cannot wear. And they look at me and say, 'It's not fair. How the hell did you get here?' "
In an apparent reference to Trump, Yeezy said: "If someone inspires me and I connect with them, I don't have to believe in all their policies ... We need to have a dialogue not a diatribe, because if you want something to change, it's not going to change by saying, 'F**k that person.' Try love. Try love."
West also bashed the media, saying: “Ninety percent of news are liberal. Ninety percent of TV, LA, New York, writers, rappers, musicians, so it’s easy to make it seem like it’s so so so one-sided,” he said. "The blacks weren’t always Democrats. You know it’s like the plan they did, to take the fathers out the home and put them on welfare. Does anybody know about that? That’s a Democratic plan,” West said.
Broadus has criticized West, saying in a radio interview last month: “I don’t give a f**k. If you like that nigga, you motherf**kin’ racist, f**k you and f**k him. Now what? Draw the line, nigga,” he said. “Kanye too, nigga. Don’t forget about him, too, f**k you, too.”
