Following the explosive Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Thursday, supporters of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh released a new ad calling for the prompt and overdue confirmation of the judge.
The powerful ad features clips of an impassioned Kavanaugh delivering his opening statement to the committee, vehemently defending himself from newly launched uncorroborated and refuted allegations of sexual misconduct that supposedly took place over three decades ago.
"I will not be intimidated from withdrawing from this process. You've tried hard, given it your all. No one can question your effort," says Kavanaugh in the ad, titled "Fighting Back."
"You're coordinated and well-funded effort to destroy my good name, destroy my family, will not drive me out. The vile threats of violence against my family will not drive me out," continues the judge.
The ad ends with Kavanaugh stating firmly, "You will never get me to quit. Never."
Kavanaugh is expected to be confirmed, soon. According to reports on Friday morning, insiders said Republicans appear to have secured the votes necessary to confirm the judge to the Supreme Court and the Senate vote is expected to take place early next week.
"With the Senate Judiciary Committee holding a vote at 9:30 A.M. tomorrow, a Senate insider has told Townhall that Kavanaugh has the votes to make it out of committee and the votes to be confirmed on the floor for a seat on the U.S. Supreme Court," reported Towhnall's Matt Vespa. "Sens. Flake (R-AZ), Collins (R-ME), Murkowski (R-AK), and Manchin (D-WV) are expected to vote in favor of Kavanaugh. All the Republicans are voting yes. Also, in the rumor mill, several Democrats may break ranks and back Kavanaugh. That’s the ball game, folks."
