Vladimir Putin may have personally ordered the assassination of Russian dissident Alexander Litvinenko, because of leaked allegations that the kleptocrat of the Kremlin was a pedophile, a closeted sexual deviant who routinely raped underage boys.
“Russia’s president destroyed video of himself having sex with children, an ex-KGB spy claimed. Now a British inquiry has found that the Kremlin leader ‘probably approved’ assassinating him for it,” reports The Daily Beast. “The allegation—that Putin had used his position as head of the Russian intelligence service to destroy video evidence of himself having sex with underage boys—was ‘the climax’ of an increasingly bitter personal feud between Alexander Litvinenko and the Kremlin leader.”
If true, Putin’s incessant displays of bravado and machismo may be symptoms of overcompensation. Litvinenko may have potentially unveiled the mask of a man whose entire cult of personality is built upon hegemonic masculinity.
This hit was allegedly personal.
“There was undoubtedly a personal dimension to the antagonism between Mr. Litvinenko on the one hand and President Putin on the other,” writes Sir Robert Owen in his report for the independent British inquiry. “Mr. Litvinenko made repeated highly personal attacks on President Putin culminating in the allegation of pedophilia in July 2006.”
The method of assassination betrays a distinctly malicious intent by the assassin. According to The Daily Beast, this “brazen murder in a Mayfair hotel via a pot of green tea laced with the radioactive isotope polonium-210” occurred in November 2006, shortly after Putin caught wind of Litvinenko's claims.
“Thanks to a radioactive breadcrumb trail that lead all the way back to Moscow, the manner in which he was murdered also became obvious in the end,” adds The Daily Beast.
On Thursday, Owen told the British Royal Courts that “The FSB operation to kill Mr. Litvinenko was probably approved by Mr. Patrrushev, then head of the FSB, and also by President Putin.” The kill-order purportedly came from the highest levels of Russian government, Putin himself.
“The allegation—that Putin had used his position as head of the Russian intelligence service to destroy video evidence of himself having sex with underage boys—was ‘the climax’ of an increasingly bitter personal feud between Alexander Litvinenko and the Kremlin leader.”

Litvinenko's claims were first published by a Chechen separatist website called Chechenpress, the only publication with the gall to challenge the Russian madman. Here is the late Litvinenko in his own words:
Shortly before his graduation [from the KGB], his bosses learned that Putin was a pedophile.
Many years later, when Putin became the FSB [Russian intelligence services] director and was preparing for the presidency, he began to seek and destroy any compromising materials.
Among other things, Putin found videotapes in the FSB Internal Security directorate, which showed him making sex with some underage boys.
These words may have signed his death warrant. Whether Litvinenko's claims are true (or not) still remains to seen.
