'COWARDICE': NRA Offers Blistering Response To Businesses Caving, Cutting Ties

"... a shameful display of political and civic cowardice."

In a blistering statement released on Saturday, the National Rifle Association (NRA) fired back at the businesses that caved to pro-gun control astroturf campaigns and cut ties with the massive organization.

"Some corporations have decided to punish NRA membership in a shameful display of political and civic cowardice," blasted the NRA.

In the wake of the Parkland high school shooting that tragically left 17 dead, the mainstream media and prominent Democrats have led a chorus of attacks effectively blaming the NRA, a pro-Second Amendment organization with over 5 million members, for the massacre. This was predictable, but a particularly audacious narrative in the face of mounting evidence of federal and local government incompetence and negligence surrounding the horrific incident.

"Some corporations have decided to punish NRA membership in a shameful display of political and civic cowardice."

"The law-abiding members of the NRA had nothing at all to do with the failure of that school’s security preparedness, the failure of America’s mental health system, the failure of the National Instant Check System or the cruel failures of both federal and local law enforcement," reads the NRA's statement.

"In time, these brands will be replaced by others who recognize that patriotism and determined commitment to Constitutional freedoms are characteristics of a marketplace they very much want to serve," it continues.

"Let it be absolutely clear. The loss of a discount will neither scare nor distract one single NRA member from our mission to stand and defend the individual freedoms that have always made America the greatest nation in the world," the organization concludes.

Over a dozen companies have severed ties with the NRA thus far, including Enterprise, Delta Airlines, and MetLife (see the full list, here).

Conservatives have responded in kind, taking note of such companies and promising to stop patronizing them.

Others fed up with the Left's attacks on the NRA have decided that now would be the perfect time to join the organization.
