Backed into a corner, the Left now wishes to employ the only trump card in their deck in the effort to beat President Trump in 2020: Oprah Winfrey for President.
At the Golden Globes on Sunday, Hollywood trotted out their newly-anointed queen to give another #MeToo speech. Throughout her five-minute-long prolix saga, Winfrey said nothing about her past relationship with Harvey Weinstein, so comfortable that she gave him kisses on the cheek.
While kisses on the cheek are not nearly as incriminating as calling an alleged sexual predator "god," like Meryl Streep, Winfrey has some of her own explaining to do regarding her professional relationship with Weinstein, which spans over a decade.
Having worked together on two films — "Lee Daniels’ The Butler" (2013) and "The Great Debaters" (2007) — Winfrey and Weinstein were apparently so close that the movie mogul even reached out to the media queen for help when The New York Times broke the story about his alleged behavior.
On top of that, a story from this past November alleges that Weinstein used his connections with Oprah and model Naomi Campbell to get his hands on British actress Kadian Noble. “An aspiring actress says Harvey Weinstein used Oprah Winfrey and Naomi Campbell to dupe her into thinking he would help her with her career — only to use her for sex,” Page Six reported.
No evidence, however, shows Winfrey had knowledge of Weinstein's behavior regarding Noble.
The public wants to know: did Oprah Winfrey know anything about Weinstein? Since her speech, the hashtag #OprahKnew has been trending:
