Heralded by Salon as “legendary”, legacy leftist media dinosaur Ted Koppel dubbed Donald Trump “Recruiter in Chief” for ISIS on Sunday while joining a panel for MSNBC’s Meet The Press. Parroting the narrative of President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party, Koppel, who postures as an objective journalist, asserted that otherwise good Muslims become unhinged Islamic terrorists bent on mass murder if exposed to Trump’s rhetoric.
“Trump thinks he’s being tough on ISIS,” Koppel said, “Donald Trump is in effect the Recruiter in Chief for ISIS. ISIS wants nothing more right now than to have the world divided into Judeo-Christian on one side, and the Islamic world on the other. That’s exactly what Trump is doing for them. I think it’s time we started thinking about ISIS wants, and then not doing it.”
Nobody on the panel pushed back against Koppel’s assertion. Chuck Todd, accepted the premise, promising to investigate further the degree to which Trump’s statement were becoming “ISIS propaganda,” presumably luring in Muslims around the world towards terrorism who would otherwise be uninterested.
