Deportation Of Criminal Aliens Is Useless If The United States Doesn't Have A Secure Border

Progressives say we don't need a wall along the southern border; they say we don't need additional Border Patrol personnel; they say the border isn't as porous as conservatives think.

According to Valley Central, Border Patrol agents "arrested 45-year-old Misael Tijerina-Tamez" on Thursday. Tijerina-Tamez, an illegal Mexican immigrant, had been deported nine days prior to his arrest.

Tijerina-Tamez also has prior offenses. From 1997 to 2009, Tijerina-Tamez was arrested for evading arrest, driving while intoxicated, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Valley Central also notes:

Agents ... determined Tijerina had a conviction for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute marijuana on March 31, 2017, according to the criminal complaint. He was sentenced to 34 months in prison.

When Tijerina-Tamez was in federal custody, a Hidalgo County District Attorney's Office "asked a judge to dismiss the case." He was deported, and just like that, he returned.

This kind of behavior isn't rare — not in the slightest. The southern border of the United States is strikingly permeable.

Illegal immigrant, Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, who in July 2015 shot and killed Kate Steinle, was a "seven-time felon, [and] had been deported five times prior" to the killing, according to Independent Journal Review.

Illegal immigrant, Miguel Angel Villasenor-Saucedo, was captured after leaving the scene of a "hit-and-run accident that killed two women," according to The Blaze. He had been deported eight times prior to his crime.

Illegal immigrant and MS-13 gang member, Tommy Vladimir Alvarado-Ventura, had been deported four times prior to his alleged "predatory sexual assault of a child, attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon," according to CNN. Previous charges included "DWI, disorderly conduct, assault, false impersonation, and contempt of court."

Illegal immigrant, Estuardo Alvarado, killed Sandra Duran while driving drunk. He faces "vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated" charges, according to the Los Angeles Times. He had previously been deported "at least five times."

The list goes on and on. Deportation only works if the United States has a real border. If the barrier separating the U.S. from Mexico is lacking in any way — whether physically or in personnel — deporting criminal aliens is a useless endeavor.

Do not believe the progressive lie that illegal immigration isn't a problem; do not believe it when they tell you that our border is secure enough. These are lies, and these lies are getting Americans injured, assaulted, and killed.
