Rejoice! Good news! Rest easy! The Obama administration did nothing wrong! What a relief to know that Susan Rice has been given the all-clear from Fake News Leader CNN. This, despite the fact that Bloomberg News just reported that Rice, Barack Obama's right-hand woman and national security adviser, went on what could only be described as a politically-motivated unmasking/spying frenzy against President Trump and his team. Oh, and just a couple weeks ago, she even lied about doing so.

For those of you who don't know, Sciutto is a former Obama appointee -- a former colleague of Susan Rice's. But now he is, you know, an unbiased, objective journalist only interested in The Truth.

Sciutto then reported that a "person close to Rice" assured him she did nothing wrong.

No word yet if this "person close to Rice" is Rice's own mother or a BFF from high school:

Via Jammie Wearing Fool, here's CNN's Don Lemon last night in full cover-up mode:

Let us be very clear about this. There is no evidence whatsoever that the Trump team… was spied on illegally. There is no evidence that backs up the president’s original claim. And on this program tonight, we will not insult your intelligence by pretending otherwise, nor will we aid and abet the people who are trying to misinform you, the American people, by creating a diversion.

This morning on CNN, although Rice flat-out lied last month when she said she knew “nothing” about surveillance of the Trump team, her former colleague Sciutto again ran to the rescue to fire off this word salad that somehow is supposed to mean Rice did not lie, that she is Caesar's wife, that she epitomizes all that is holy and pure in the universe…

Oh, and once again, Sciutto relies on people "close to" Rice -- which, if you think about it, could very well be Sciutto himself:

I don't know. I do know this, because I asked that question of people close to her yesterday. From her perspective she didn't know what specific unmasking Devin Nunes and others are talking about, in part because that is something she asks -- or asked during the regular course of her work as national security adviser. She asked to unmask names in multiple intelligence reports, some related to Russia and some not. To be clear, remember, Devin Nunes when he first came out with this didn't say specifically Russia but others as well. I noted this earlier in the broadcast, when you do ask these questions they are meticulously logged by law. You can't do it in secret. There's a paper trail of it. We don't know what the explanation is for her comment there, but I do know from speaking to people yesterday close to her that she doesn't know specifically what Devin Nunes and others are accusing her of when it comes to unmasking because that was something sets in the regular course of her job.

What was the middle thing again?

Regardless, Rice's denial went further than just the Nunes report. Rice flat-out said, "Nothing of the sort occurred," when she damn well knew it did occur -- and that she was the ringleader.

Any other questions about why CNN is The Least Trusted Name In News, and is now in last place, behind even MSNBC in viewers?

I didn’t think so.
