Last month, the Taliban put into effect new laws stripping the women of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/afghanistan" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Afghanistan</a> of the last of their basic human rights. While here in America, feminists like to define their basic human rights as access to abortion, Afghan women are no longer allowed to speak in public, show any skin or leave their home without a male chaperone.
As of late August, the Taliban received approval from supreme leader Hibatullah Akhundzada to put into place its “<a href="https://apnews.com/article/afghanistan-taliban-vice-virtue-laws-women-b6db61e124116c712c867d2e1a4532ba" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Vice and Virtue decree</a>,” which prohibits Islamic people from many religious and daily practices. Females were, unsurprisingly, hit the hardest by these new laws. Afghan women have been deemed as temptations, and therefore cannot show any skin or use their voices in public for any reason. They also may not make eye contact with men to whom they are not married, or blood related, out of fear of punishment and torture.
These new practices and ones already in place, including the end of education for women at 12 years of age and the inability to see male doctors, have not only left women with no rights, but truly no chance at a healthy and contented life. If these women are not allowed to be educated enough to be health care providers, and also can’t see male doctors, what will happen to them if and when they need health care? They will clearly become sick and suffer — which is, ultimately, the Taliban’s goal.
Women have been banned from most public spaces including parks, gyms and many stores. This has left women-led households particularly vulnerable. Since women are no longer let out of the home without a male, they are unable to walk, exercise or even shop for basic necessities like food.
Why is no one talking about this? Coming up on a month after the new bans took effect, the Biden Administration has barely mentioned this situation, let alone done anything to combat it. Where are the thousands of women who marched and protested after the overturn of Roe v. Wade and chanted “my body my choice?” Why don’t these people seem to care about the Afghan women having no rights over their bodies — including what they can wear, who they can speak to, or if they can speak at all? Or what about the girls as young as 5-years-old being sold into marriages under the Taliban — what about their choice?
The answer ultimately comes down to the sad fact that it was the Biden-Harris Administration <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/terror-threats-from-afghanistan-have-flourished-under-biden-harris-admin-report" target="_blank" rel="noopener">who helped fuel</a> the Taliban to be able to perpetrate these acts in the first place. It is American taxpayer dollars that have been sent to make all of this happen. In August, the Taliban received <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/us-aid-vetting-failures-may-have-benefited-militants-afghanistan-watchdog-finds-2024-07-17/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">nearly $240 million</a> in U.S. aid. The funds, ironically, even came from a State Department division called “Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor.” How does funding a brutal group that uses physical abuse as punishment for speaking in public qualify as maintaining human rights?
In Afghanistan, women&#8217;s lives are truly not their own. This is not just a matter of abortion or contraception as we hear in America. Women are being sentenced to death for “moral crimes” such as adultery or refusal of arranged marriages. Women who commit these crimes are being put to death, even by stoning. Afghan women are also eligible for forced “virginity testing” which are often inaccurate tests performed on young women to determine if they have abstained from sexual relations. If girls “fail” these tests, they can face torture, ridicule or death, even in cases of rape. If a woman has been raped and is married, she is an adulterer, which once again circles back to the “moral crimes” punishments.

It’s important to note that Afghanistan wasn’t always like this. Prior to the Afghan–Soviet War in 1979, women actually experienced a fair number of freedoms. They were able to work, express themselves through choice of clothing. But after the war, and the initial takeover by the Taliban in 1996, these women and girls slowly started to lose themselves to the evil that had taken over their home.
American feminists might want to open their eyes to see beyond their tired and misguided rhetoric. Take a look at what actual denial of a woman’s control over her body looks like.
These women will continue to suffer under the Taliban as long as Biden and Harris remain in office. It is their policy blunders that have assisted in the progression of these inhumane acts. In the meantime, Islamic women have taken to social media and to singing in the streets to protest the laws leaving them deprived of actual human rights.
The next time American feminists try to tell you about your “oppression” as a female in America, remember you are still allowed to speak in public, receive an education, carry out a career, and have access to world-class health care — all unattainable dreams for Afghan women who don’t have the blessing and privilege to be a woman in America today.

The Republican-led U.S. House of Representatives passed the Title IX CRA (Congressional Review Act) on Thursday, taking an important step toward overturning President Joe Biden&#8217;s recent rewrite of Title IX.
Rep. In order to succeed in <a href="https://www.insidehighered.com/news/government/2024/06/14/house-republicans-advance-legislation-block-title-ix-regs" target="_blank" rel="noopener">overturning Biden&#8217;s rewrite of Title IX</a> — which applies the law&#8217;s protections to include gender identity rather than only biological sex and allows males into female-only spaces and athletic competitions — the Title IX CRA would also have to pass with a simple majority in the Democrat-controlled Senate, after which President Biden could still exercise his veto power.

Activists in Carrboro, North Carolina — near Chapel Hill — vandalized a tour bus promoting women&#8217;s sports advocates on their &#8220;<a href="https://ourbodiesoursports.com/bus" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Take Back Title IX</a>&#8221; summer bus tour, scrawling profane and anti-woman messages all over the outside of the bus as well as pelting it with eggs.
The Independent Women&#8217;s Forum is promoting the tour, which features a number of prominent female athletes — among them former collegiate swimmers Riley Gaines and Paula Scanlan and tennis legend Martina Navratilova — and shared photos and video of the bus after it had been vandalized.

Trans-identifying Scottish Green Party candidate Sophie Molly tangled with &#8220;Harry Potter&#8221; author J.K. Rowling in a brief exchange on X, and things did not appear to go as planned.
The spat began with a post from Rowling announcing how proud she was to be a part of the soon-to-be-released book &#8220;The Women Who Wouldn&#8217;t Wheesht: Voices From the Front-Line of Scotland&#8217;s Battle for Women&#8217;s Rights.&#8221;
&#8220;I’m very proud to have contributed an essay to this book, alongside many women I’m proud to call my friends. For non-Scots, ‘wheesht’ means ‘be quiet’ or ‘hush up’, but I suspect you could have worked that out from the context …&#8221; Rowling posted on Thursday.

On Saturday, Molly responded — and in addition to claiming that the book was &#8220;deeply transphobic,&#8221; complained that anyone who was &#8220;gender critical&#8221; was taking away rights from those who identify as transgender.

Rowling</a> exposed the radical transgender activist playbook in a recent post to X, highlighting the response she&#8217;d gotten from a critic and explaining that she&#8217;d never seen the position articulated &#8220;so honestly.&#8221;
The conversation began with a question posed to Rowling, asking her how she defined &#8220;woman&#8221; and whether it just came down to having female &#8220;equipment&#8221; or if she believed one must make use of said equipment in order to truly be a woman.
The &#8220;Harry Potter&#8221; author responded with a lengthy post, saying in part that she believed that women — in addition to their biological realities — were defined by a set of lived experiences that no trans-identifying male could ever have.

Women don&#8217;t want to be limited, exploited, punished, or subject to other unjust treatment because of their biology, but our being female is indeed defined by our biology.&#8221;
Rowling followed addressed several other topics — including her opinions on gender dysphoria and medical treatments aimed at aiding those suffering from gender dysphoria to &#8220;transition&#8221; to the opposite sex — and her continued passion for protecting women&#8217;s spaces, particularly for those who had been victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence.

And while some responded positively to the author&#8217;s lengthy explanation, the one Rowling highlighted rejected her words out of hand.
&#8220;That&#8217;s a whole lotta words and quite frankly I&#8217;m not f***ing reading all that. I just wanted to say that it&#8217;s weirder to do all the instead of just believing that trans women are women. Seriously, at this point which sounds more insane to the average person?&#8221;
Rowling blacked out the name of the person who had sent that reply and shared a screenshot with the following response: &#8220;This is the bottom line of every single activist I&#8217;ve ever engaged with on this issue, but rarely have I seen it stated so honestly. &#8216;Why can&#8217;t you just believe, it&#8217;s so weird you care, why make this complicated, just accept the slogan.'&#8221;

J.K. Rowling responded on Monday to the enactment of Scotland&#8217;s new Hate Crime Act, delivering a brutal X thread showing just who such laws would protect.

Rowling also addressed the trauma that she says victims might experience in being forced to allow biological males into spaces that were designed specifically to protect victims from further abuse.

Eventbrite removed the listing of an upcoming “Let Women Speak Austin” event hosted by the Independent Women’s Network (IWN), which will focus on protecting women’s sex-specific spaces like restrooms and locker rooms.
Eventbrite said the event violated its rules in an email sent to the IWN.
“We have determined that your event is not permitted on the Eventbrite platform as it violates our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, specifically our policy on Hateful, Dangerous, or Violent Content and Events,” the <a href="https://unfairlycanceled.com/stories/eventbrite-bans-let-women-speak-austin-event/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">email</a> said. “As a result, your event has been unpublished.”
The event, set to take place on August 12th at the Texas State Capitol, will emphasize the “need to preserve and maintain our spaces such as bathrooms, locker rooms, prisons, dressing rooms, and sororities,” a press release from the organization explained. “Events like this one where we come together and use our voices is crucial to continue advocating for the preservation of these single-sex spaces.”
IWN is calling on Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott to protect women&#8217;s spaces, <a href="https://www.givesendgo.com/LetWomenSpeakATX" target="_blank" rel="noopener">saying,</a> &#8220;Women and girls still have no guarantee of privacy in places such as bathrooms, dressing rooms, locker rooms, shelters, prisons, and dormitories.&#8221;
A <a href="https://iwnetwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/IWN_Letter-to-Eventbrite.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">letter</a> from the IWN blasted Eventbrite’s decision to remove the listing as “blatantly sexist.”
“Inviting survivors of sexual assault to share their concerns about being forced to undress in front of biological males is not hateful &#8211; it’s empowering,” it continued.
The letter, signed by IWN Austin chapter leader Michelle Evans and Independent Women&#8217;s Forum President Carrie Lukas, contended that it is empowering, not hateful, to give a voice to female athletes “who have suffered lasting physical harm, lost awards, and been passed over for scholarships when forced to compete against biological males.”

IWN noted that the event will go on as planned, and “the crowd of women ready to give a public record of their dissent grows with every retweet about the deplatforming.”

A Wisconsin school district will be forced to allow male students who identify as female to use the girls&#8217; restroom and locker room, a federal judge ordered Thursday.
The Mukwonago Area School District in the Milwaukee area is prohibited from enforcing its new policy banning students from using the bathroom of the opposite sex after Judge Lynn Adelman in the Eastern District of Wisconsin <a href="https://www.tmj4.com/news/local-news/court-rules-for-11-year-old-trans-girl-in-lawsuit-against-mukwonago-schools-bathroom-policy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> a temporary restraining order against the policy.
The mother of an 11-year-old trans-identifying student, a boy who identifies as a girl, filed the lawsuit on behalf of her son.
The judge&#8217;s decision blocks the district from keeping the 11-year-old boy out of the girls&#8217; bathroom. The temporary restraining order states that the boy has been using the girls&#8217; bathroom since he was in third grade and is entering sixth grade. The boy is reportedly <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/school-forced-let-transgender-student-use-girls-bathroom-1811635" target="_blank" rel="noopener">currently</a> attending summer school and was told by school district staff that he must use either the boys&#8217; bathroom or a gender-neutral option. The restraining order also says the boy is suffering &#8220;emotional and mental harms&#8221; due to the bathroom policy.
&#8220;We are very pleased that the court recognized so clearly that our client&#8217;s rights were being violated and that immediate action was needed to protect her,&#8221; a member of the pre-teen student&#8217;s legal team <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/school-forced-let-transgender-student-use-girls-bathroom-1811635" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Newsweek.
&#8220;We hope this gives her a chance to enjoy the rest of her summer program and look forward to defending this victory as the litigation continues,&#8221; the student&#8217;s legal team member said.
The district&#8217;s bathroom policy, called the &#8220;Student Privacy in Restrooms and Locker Rooms,&#8221; was unanimously passed by the school board on June 26.
&#8220;The Board believes students should feel safe and secure in the school environment, and the Board respects their right to privacy as it pertains to the use of District facilities,&#8221; the policy reads. &#8220;To that end, except as otherwise required by law, students shall use restroom and locker room facilities on District property and at District-sponsored events according to each student&#8217;s sex assigned at birth.&#8221;
The school district <a href="https://www.jsonline.com/story/communities/west/2023/07/10/judge-grants-temporary-restraining-order-in-mukwonago-bathroom-lawsuit/70387127007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> the new bathroom and locker room policy will allow exceptions on a case-by-case basis. School staff, school officials, the student&#8217;s parents, and the student will consult together on accommodations for those exceptions.
The mother of the trans-identifying student accused the Mukwonago school district of &#8220;ongoing discrimination&#8221; against her son. She said Superintendent Joe Koch and the school district are &#8220;targeting an eleven-year-old child, and that is disgusting.&#8221;

The school district responded to Thursday&#8217;s ruling by saying it would &#8220;continue to defend&#8221; the bathroom policy &#8220;in the interest of protecting the safety, privacy, and wellness of all students.&#8221;
Over the last few years, gender identity has become a prominent issue for parents and school districts nationwide, with many parents weighing in on bathroom policies, LGBT curriculum content, and parental notification policies.
Meanwhile, it is more popular than ever for youth to adopt new gender identities. An estimated 300,000 minors aged 13 to 17 <a href="https://williamsinstitute.law.ucla.edu/press/transgender-estimate-press-release/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">identified</a> as transgender as of last year.

A trans-identifying male reportedly gave a talk on &#8220;women&#8217;s empowerment&#8221; at a New Jersey women&#8217;s prison.
La’Nae Grant, a biological man who identifies as a woman, lectured female inmates on June 20 at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women about women&#8217;s empowerment and the importance of “inclusivity,” Reduxx <a href="https://reduxx.info/exclusive-trans-identified-male-presents-on-womens-empowerment-at-nj-prison-plagued-by-violent-male-transfers/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
Grant reportedly urged the women to accept that “transgender women are women” and said he thinks “cisgender women” may not immediately accept trans-identifying men due to “competition” for male sexual partners.
Kokila Hiatt, an inmate at the facility, described the event to Reduxx, saying many of the women who attended did not know the event would discuss gender identity.
“Many women behaved in a polite manner by sitting and listening. A lot of people just tuned out. No one was anticipating what this event was really about. It was billed as a Women’s Empowerment Event. His picture was on the sign-up sheet, but this person visibly ‘passes’ as a woman, so no one thought anything of it when they signed up to attend,” Hiatt told Reduxx.
“Attendance was not required in that people signed up to attend, but please remember, no one knew what it was they were really signing up for. They were duped into attending something for this transgender person,” Hiatt said.
Hiatt called the event &#8220;government-funded and facilitated.&#8221; Grant delivered his remarks in a gym at the prison, which means New Jersey’s Department of Corrections executive staff from Trenton would have to approve it, she said.
“Custody staff members here had to enable inmate movement and supervise attendance. Some members of this facility’s administrative staff was present,” Hiatt said.
Grant is currently the CEO of Lady L&#8217;s LGBTQIA+ Services, <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/la-nae-grant-jessop-76a557121/?trk=public_post_feed-actor-name" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to his LinkedIn. Before that, he worked for the city of East Orange, most recently as the director of the the city&#8217;s Child and Adult Care Food Program.
The women&#8217;s prison, New Jersey&#8217;s only correctional facility for women, is located near Clinton, New Jersey. Last year, Governor Phil Murphy appointed Grant to the women&#8217;s prison&#8217;s Board of Trustees.
Murphy&#8217;s office <a href="https://www.nj.gov/governor/news/news/562022/20220216a.shtml" target="_blank" rel="noopener">called</a> Grant &#8220;the first transgender woman&#8221; to serve on the board and said he is a &#8220;longtime activist for the rights of the transgender community, including transgender persons that are currently incarcerated.&#8221;
Grant “began transitioning into a woman” about a decade ago around age 28, he <a href="https://www.nj.com/news/2021/06/3-nj-people-of-the-lgbtq-community-share-their-stories-for-pride-month.html">told</a> New Jersey Advance Media in 2021. He took estrogen and has gotten genital surgery and “breast reconstructive surgery,” and before that, he identified as a gay man, he told the outlet.
In 2021, New Jersey prison officials <a href="https://newjerseymonitor.com/2023/05/08/shifting-policy-on-prison-placement-of-transgender-people-sparks-scrutiny/#:~:text=New%20Jersey%20prisons%20were%20held,they%20often%20endure%20behind%20bars." target="_blank" rel="noopener">agreed</a> to start placing trans-identifying males in the women&#8217;s prison. However, that policy was tweaked to consider safety and other factors after a male inmate at Edna Mahan Correctional Facility impregnated two women while behind bars.
Demetrius &#8220;Demi&#8221; Minor, who was 27 at the time, impregnated two of female inmates, news of which broke last year. He was <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/07/16/transgender-woman-demi-minor-impregnates-two-inmates-at-nj-prison/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">moved</a> to a youth correctional facility.
In 2020, Grant <a href="https://www.metroweekly.com/2020/01/new-jersey-governor-signs-bill-banning-use-of-gay-or-trans-panic-defense/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">commented</a> on the governor signing a bill prohibiting the use of “gay or trans panic” defenses by people accused of homicide.
“We deserve to live with dignity and safety in our communities,” Grant said at the time. “Knowing that the ‘panic’ defense is banned in New Jersey is another victory and moment of empowerment for black trans women like myself, but there’s still more work to do for our community.”

A federal judge ordered a Korean-American women’s spa with compulsory nudity to admit men who identify as women, even if they have intact penises, in a decision on Monday.
Olympus Spa <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12176407/Washington-womens-spa-compulsory-nudity-ordered-judge-start-admitting-trans-women.html">attempted</a> to sue the Washington State Human Rights Commission (WSHRC) after being ordered to remove any mention of &#8220;biological women&#8221; from their website and to admit transgender men without question. Senior District Judge Barbara Rothstein <a href="https://law.justia.com/cases/federal/district-courts/washington/wawdce/2:2022cv00340/308441/21/">dismissed</a> the lawsuit, upholding the WSHRC’s orders as legal and requiring the spa to comply.
Haven Wilvich, a man who identifies as a woman, <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/06/09/women-only-spa-must-welcome-naked-trans-clients-with-penises/">complained</a> to the WSHRC in 2020 and claimed the spa declined his membership request. Wilvich alleged that the spa said, “transgender women without surgery are not welcome.” The spa disputed this claim, stating they had no record of an application.
The family-owned spa is modeled on jjimjilbang — traditional sex-segregated bathhouses in Korea. The spa only admitted trans-identified men if they had “gone through post-operative sex confirmation surgery.”  
In March 2021, the WSHRC served spa owner Myoon Woon Lee with a Notice of Complaint of Discrimination. The spa&#8217;s president, Sun Lee, explained to the commission that Olympus was a family-owned “women’s Korean traditional health spa” that required nudity for certain treatments.
“We firmly believe it is essential for the safety, legal protection, and well-being of our customers and employees that we maintain adherence to this adaptation of a females-only rule,” Lee wrote. 
The president also educated the board on the traditions of Jjimjilbang, arguing that the spa had “worked so hard over many years to build and preserve, simply for the sake of promoting gender neutrality.”
Both the owner and the president <a href="https://law.justia.com/cases/federal/district-courts/washington/wawdce/2:2022cv00340/308441/21/">said</a> they were Christian and cited their faith — the Christian belief in modesty between the sexes — as a reason why they did not wish to accept biological males into the women’s nude spa. Employees also involved in the suit — all of whom were women — <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2023/06/07/washington-womens-only-spa-must-serve-trans-patrons-with-male-genitals-judge-rules/">refused</a> to perform body scrubs on naked men, citing Christian principles as well. The District Court rejected their religious liberty claim.

The court upheld the WSHRC&#8217;s requirement that the spa <a href="https://reduxx.info/korean-womens-spa-forced-to-erase-biological-women-from-policy-after-trans-identified-male-complaint/">removes</a> all references to biological women from their site and subject their staff to “inclusivity” training. The spa challenged this as &#8220;compelled speech&#8221; in violation of the First Amendment, which Rothstein also rejected. The court rejected the spa&#8217;s third argument, which claimed that the WSHRC&#8217;s requirement of admitting men violated the right of association.
After the WSHRC ruling in 2021, Wilvich <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12176407/Washington-womens-spa-compulsory-nudity-ordered-judge-start-admitting-trans-women.html">celebrated</a> on social media, saying the order allowed “all self-identified women access regardless of surgery and genitals.” 
“I realized something important today. I‘m more woman than any TERF [trans-exclusionary radical feminist] will be because I am an intentional woman whereas they are only incidental,” Wilvich also said.
Before Wilvich began to transition, he sat on the board of the Seattle Nonbinary Collective, describing himself as a “tall, bearded, transfemme, King County native,” according to the Daily Mail.
