People are joining dating apps to find partners who share not only interests, but health priorities.
“<a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.unjected.app&amp;hl=en_US">Unjected</a>” is a dating app for unvaccinated individuals that describes its platform as a place for “like-minded individuals seeking authentic connections with awakened voices …” It features smart matching, speed dating, date requests, live video calls, and social feeds. It was originally launched as a safe place for “unvaccinated to come together uncensored through business, friendship or love,” according to the app’s founders, Shelby Thomson and Heather Pyle.
Unjected hosted a &#8220;<a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DXNbwhJAaJS/?hl=en&amp;img_index=5">Summer Love</a>” tour, traveling across the U.S. and holding mixers for unvaccinated singles. 
“We’ve been banned, hacked, betrayed, and written off, and we’re still here,” the post said. “So this summer, we’re going on tour. 🌎Denver. Nashville. Boise. Portland.”
The app has had success with users finding spouses who value their health as much as they do. <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/style/2026/06/26/dating-apps-unvaccinated-people-are-successfully-matching-anti-vaxxers/">Genna Betros</a>, 27, discovered the app and related to its mission, distrustful of how quickly the vaccine was developed and undertested, according to The Washington Post. She said that the app attracts others who stay strong for their family and not submit to whatever the TV says.”   
Betros matched with Corey Deemer, who was also skeptical about the “aggressive” push toward vaccinations. Only an hour&#8217;s drive apart at the outset, they met, fell in love, and eventually married. 
Launched in 2021, the app initially endured setbacks: <a href="https://freespeechproject.georgetown.edu/tracker-entries/dating-app-for-the-unvaccinated-removed-from-apple-and-google-stores-instagram-platform/">Apple removed</a> Unjected from its App Store because its social feed allowed for “buzz phrases” like “experimental mRNA gene modifiers,” “bioweapons,” and “nano-technology microchips.” Thomson and Pyle pushed back, saying that Apple had violated their First Amendment rights. 
“Obviously, these tech giants do what they want,” Thomson said in an Inside Edition interview. “But, it doesn’t make it any less a violation of the 1st amendment.” 
The app was eventually returned to Apple’s App Store in 2024. 
There is still pushback from a number of sources when questions are raised regarding the overall safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines in particular. Pharmaceutical companies often tout the life-saving capabilities of traditional vaccines, lumping the COVID-19 vaccine in with the others as they argue it saved “<a href="https://www.thelancet.com/journals/laninf/article/PIIS1473-3099(22)00320-6/fulltext">millions of lives</a>.” 
There are a growing number of studies, however, showing that the questions are worth raising. A Senate subcommittee hearing in 2025 titled &#8220;<a href="https://www.hsgac.senate.gov/subcommittees/investigations/hearings/how-the-corruption-of-science-has-impacted-public-perception-and-policies-regarding-vaccines/">How the Corruption of Science has Impacted Public Perception and Policies Regarding Vaccines</a>,” presented the results of a study that was supposed to prove vaccines were safe. It did the opposite. 
Toby Rogers, a Brownstone Institute fellow with a doctorate in political economy, testified that he watched every meeting of the Advisory Committee on immunization practices, and the vaccines and related biological products advisory committee, and he found that from 2021 to 2023 “after a while the CDC’s own research showed that protection from the vaccine, if any, was between months two and six, and by six months it showed negative efficacy” — meaning that data suggested the vaccine actually increased the risk of conditions it was supposed to prevent or did nothing at all. It also had the “worst side-effect profile of any vaccine in human history,” according to Rogers. 
At the hearing, attorney Aaron Siri <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DOZ2DFQDjnr/">cited</a> an unpublished Henry Ford Health study that drew on medical records of 18,468 children enrolled in the system from 2000 to 2016, comparing those who received one or more vaccines with those who received none. Siri said the study found that vaccinated children had “4.29 times the rate of asthma, 3.03 times the rate of atopic disease, 5.96 times the rate of autoimmune disease, and 5.53 times the rate of neuro-developmental disorders.” 
The study was never published or peer-reviewed, and Henry Ford Health disputes that it was &#8220;suppressed&#8221; — arguing that it went unpublished because it was poorly designed. Stanford infectious-disease physician Jake Scott, who also testified, said the vaccinated and unvaccinated groups differed too much at the outset to support the study&#8217;s conclusions.
Siri said the findings were “statistically significant” even after adjusting cohorts for factors like gender, race, and birthweight, and noted that researchers who set out to &#8216;reduce vaccine hesitancy&#8217; had instead produced findings that cut against their own premise.
While the COVID-19 vaccines have garnered a lot of suspicion, more traditional vaccines have been more broadly accepted by both the medical community and the general public. <a href="https://www.who.int/news/item/24-04-2024-global-immunization-efforts-have-saved-at-least-154-million-lives-over-the-past-50-years">Measles vaccinations</a> are recorded to have the &#8220;most significant impact on reducing infant mortality, accounting for 60% of the lives saved due to immunization,&#8221; and are considered likely to prevent future deaths as well. The report also says that over the past 50 years, vaccination against 14 different diseases has contributed to &#8220;reducing infant deaths by 40% globally, and by more than 50% in the African Region.&#8221;

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) now advises vaccines for eleven diseases instead of eighteen, aligning more closely with Denmark’s approach.
Dropped from the vaccine schedule are recommendations for Hep B, Rotavirus, MenACWY, Hep A, and the flu shot. Still recommended for all children — not those who are specifically high-risk — are the vaccines for measles, mumps, rubella, polio, pertussis, tetanus, diphtheria, Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib), pneumococcal disease, human papillomavirus (HPV), and chickenpox.
Health officials say their assessment, which reviewed 20 developed peer nations&#8217; schedules, found that the United States is a &#8220;global outlier&#8221; among developed nations in both the number of diseases addressed in its routine vaccine schedule, as well as the total number of recommended doses, while still not achieving higher vaccination rates than the other nations.
Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been a longtime critic of the vaccine industry. Last summer, his agency moved to fire all seventeen members of the government&#8217;s advisory committee on vaccines, saying &#8220;a clean sweep is necessary to reestablish public confidence in vaccine science.&#8221;
He has argued that the government health agencies have for years been a &#8220;rubber stamp&#8221; for the pharmaceutical industry, which has prioritized profits over science.

All vaccinations recommended by the CDC as of December 31, 2025, will continue to be fully covered by Affordable Care Act plans, and in insurance plans and federal insurance programs like Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the Vaccines for Children program.
A press release from Robert F. Kennedy Jr.&#8217;s Health and Human Services said insurance &#8220;will continue to cover more vaccines for children in the United States than in peer nations, where insurance generally only pays for recommended vaccines.&#8221;
As for what&#8217;s coming next, health care providers will soon have access to the updated Child and Adolescent Immunization Schedule by Age (through age 18) of immunization recommendations for all children, immunization recommendations for certain high-risk groups or populations, and immunizations based on shared clinical decision-making, according to HHS.
Additionally, the department is working with states and physician groups to educate parents and providers on the updated schedule. The CDC says it will closely monitor vaccine uptake, infectious disease rates, and vaccine safety.

A new childhood vaccination schedule under Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. could look a lot more like Denmark&#8217;s schedule — meaning more parental control, fewer overall shots, and nixing very early doses.
Kennedy has made it clear that he wants to overhaul how vaccines are recommended — and mandated — in the United States. So far, the secretary has handpicked a new Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) panel and green-lighted changes to the Hep B and COVID vaccines.
But more changes are coming. New reports indicate that HHS wants to recommend fewer vaccines and instead encourage parents to speak to their doctors about certain shots. Denmark&#8217;s vaccine schedule is reportedly the model HHS wants to align with more closely.
In Denmark, children receive far fewer vaccines than children in the U.S. For example, the Scandinavian nation does not recommend vaccinating children against the flu, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), hepatitis A and B, or chickenpox, among other viruses, as <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2025/12/19/childhood-vaccine-schedule-denmark-revisions">highlighted</a> by The Washington Post. Compared to the U.S., Denmark recommends eight fewer vaccines against infectious diseases.
Also, in Denmark, children are recommended to get vaccinations later than in the U.S. Denmark waits until a baby is 3 months old before vaccinations, recommending zero at birth. A fully vaccinated 12-month-old child in Denmark will have received 18 vaccine doses for six diseases, <a href="https://cyvaccine.com/article/does-demnark-practice-same-vaccination-schedule-as-the-us" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to Cyvaccine, while a 12-month-old in the U.S. will have received 43 vaccine doses for 16 diseases.
Denmark also offers parents more control over their child&#8217;s vaccinations. Recommendations are voluntary in the Scandinavian country, and not mandated for school entry, unlike in the U.S. Kennedy reportedly wants to mirror Denmark in this respect, too.
Former U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb said such a change would put liability back on vaccine manufacturers, which is something HHS, under Kennedy, seems inclined to do.

Rumors of the shifts peaked after President Donald Trump signed a presidential memorandum earlier this month directing HHS to &#8220;FAST TRACK&#8221; a comprehensive evaluation of vaccine schedules. Trump directed the department to change the vaccine schedule so it more closely mirrors other developed nations, while using the &#8220;Gold Standard of Science and COMMON SENSE!”
“The American Childhood Vaccine Schedule long required 72 ‘jabs,’ for perfectly healthy babies, far more than any other Country in the World, and far more than is necessary,” Trump said in a Truth Social post. “In fact, it is ridiculous! Many parents and scientists have been questioning the efficacy of this ‘schedule,’ as have I!”

Topline: President Trump is hitting the road to tout his economic progress as Americans remain pessimistic about affordability and the cost of living.
Since retaking office, many of the president’s most high-profile road trips have been abroad to meet with foreign leaders and lock down peace deals and trade agreements. But with midterms fast approaching and affordability remaining the top issue for voters, he’s launching a nationwide tour to tout his economic record and address voter concerns on affordability.

For years now, Republicans have dominated on the topic, with poll after poll showing voters prefer their handling of the economy over Democrats. But goodwill from Trump’s first term has not carried over, as Republicans now trail Democrats on the economy.
Last month’s electoral results in New Jersey, Virginia, and New York were seemingly a wake-up call for the White House. It’s not just that Democrats won handily, but it’s the fact that they won by attacking President Trump’s economy and focusing on affordability. Now the president has held a series of meetings with his top advisers to devise a new messaging strategy to convince voters that he’s taking the right course ahead of the midterms.
Trump appeared in Pennsylvania for the first of what the White House says will be a string of events focused primarily on affordability.
Trump is in a tough political spot. On the one hand, he takes great pride in his economic prowess and his role as a sort of businessman-in-chief. But if he continues insisting that things are going great, he risks coming off as out of touch and angering folks.
A Fox News poll this month found that 76% of voters view the economy negatively, while POLITICO found that even 37% of Trump voters say the cost of living is the worst they’ve ever seen.
For his part, the president reportedly feels the issue is perception, and that Republicans must step up their efforts to highlight the progress they’re making.
“We gave you an extension of the biggest tax cuts and the biggest tax cuts ever, even bigger than the first term, and that&#8217;s one of the reasons that your 401(k)s are through the roof. It&#8217;s one of the reasons that the stock market is at the highest point,” said Trump Tuesday evening. “Rent prices are down, dairy prices are coming down very strongly. The cost of Thanksgiving turkeys was down by 33% compared to the Biden era. That&#8217;s a good start. We&#8217;re bringing it down and we&#8217;re coming down more. We&#8217;re coming down a lot more.”
President Trump also touted the progress made so far in lowering the cost of gas and eggs, which reached historic highs in recent years. 
“We&#8217;re down lower than we&#8217;ve been in seven years. And gasoline prices in oil prices, not just the three states that I talk about with 1.99 a gallon,” said Trump. “  What about eggs? … The price of eggs is down now 80% since March. Think of that.”

Topline: A Texas Senate race is already heating up as candidates for both parties jockey for the chance to win the key seat, and some notable names are shaking things up.
A new Democrat challenger: Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is jumping into the race. Crockett is a sound-bite factory, so prepare to see some major developments out of the U.S. Senate race in Texas.
Former Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX) dropped out of the race earlier on Monday while signaling that Crockett was going to get in. Meanwhile, state Rep. James Talarico is maintaining that he is going to stay in the contest on the Democratic side.
Texas is a red state, but with the 2026 election, Democrats are feeling a bit cocky about their shot at winning that seat and many others, if possible.
Crockett’s impact: The NRCC, or the Republican arm focused on House elections, is already touting that Crockett could potentially be the Democratic nominee. What that means for down-ballot races is that moderate Democrats will face a choice: whether to embrace Crockett and risk being painted as radicals by Republicans, or to push away from Crockett and risk pushback from Democrats.
Either way, Republicans will likely try to paint Crockett as the standard-bearer of the Democratic Party in Texas.
GOP’s packed primary: On the Republican side, it&#8217;s a complicated primary. Incumbent Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) is running, as well as state Attorney General Ken Paxton. Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX) is also in the race.
Cornyn is backed by the NRC, the official party arm that defends incumbent GOP senators. Paxton, Hunt, and Cornyn are all vying for Trump&#8217;s endorsement. But the president has not yet picked a favorite.
Hunt and Paxton have both portrayed themselves as the better option to stand with Trump and carry out the president’s agenda. But there is a highly volatile dynamic in the race, and polling shows the contest is incredibly close.
<h2 style="text-align: center;">FDA Revamps Vaccine Standards</h2>

Topline: The FDA is implementing tougher standards for vaccines, a move riling up the medical establishment.
Reports circulated this week about an internal memo from Dr. Vinay Prasad, director of the FDA’s vaccine division, proposing an overhaul of how vaccines are evaluated and approved, initiating tougher standards. The new process would include full randomized clinical trials even for updated or routine vaccines, such as the flu shot.
The trials would allow evaluation of real-world protection, not just antibody levels, as well as side-effect rates and additional information for risk-benefit analysis. Currently, officials rely primarily on immune-response data, such as antibody levels from small groups of people.
Notably, this memo cited at least 10 children who died “after and because of” receiving COVID vaccines. That is apparently driving this new direction for tougher vaccine approvals. 
How it&#8217;s playing: Twelve former FDA officials denounced the memo in an editorial, claiming that it casts doubt on vaccine safety. They claim these new standards reject “long-standing science” and say it will slow innovation. Former FDA head Dr. Scott Gottlieb appeared on CBS News and <a href="https://x.com/EricLDaugh/status/1997844527353409711">said</a> Prasad’s new procedures could hamper vaccine effectiveness.
Trump admin response: The Department of Health and Human Services stands by Dr. Prasad and these new standards. An HHS spokesperson took a swipe at the “resistance” editorial, saying, “The fact these criticisms are coming from former FDA officials who opposed raising the bar for vaccine science confirms we are on the right track.”
HHS press secretary Emily Hilliard told Morning Wire that the American people “deserve evidence-based science,” and said Dr. Prasad’s email “lays out a philosophical framework that points us toward that higher standard.”
Hilliard also said HHS will “soon release documents laying out that framework,” as well as data confirming how the COVID vaccine resulted in children’s deaths that previous leadership failed to investigate properly.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention&#8217;s (CDC) vaccine panel recommended this week that the hepatitis B immunization should not be given to all babies immediately after birth. The decision was fully supported by President Donald Trump, who then took the issue one step further, signing a memorandum to &#8220;fast track&#8221; a full evaluation of the childhood vaccine schedule.
The decision from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, or ACIP, marks a major shift, changing up standard practice in the United States for some 30 years.
In an 8-3 vote, the panel recommended the hepatitis B vaccine only be given at birth for infants whose mothers test positive for the virus, or whose status is unknown. If a mother has a negative hepatitis B status, she should speak to her doctor about getting the first dose of the vaccination at birth.
Traditionally, the vaccine is given in three separate doses. The ACIP panel decided that some children do not need a third dose, and recommended testing children&#8217;s antibody levels before determining if they need follow-up doses.

On Friday, Trump posted on Truth Social that the decision from ACIP is &#8220;very good&#8221; and criticized the general vaccine schedule for children.
&#8220;[T]he CDC Vaccine Committee made a very good decision to END their Hepatitis B Vaccine Recommendation for babies, the vast majority of whom are at NO RISK of Hepatitis B, a disease that is mostly transmitted sexually, or through dirty needles,&#8221; the president wrote.
&#8220;The American Childhood Vaccine Schedule long required 72 &#8216;jabs,&#8217; for perfectly healthy babies, far more than any other Country in the World, and far more than is necessary,&#8221; Trump continued. &#8220;In fact, it is ridiculous! Many parents and scientists have been questioning the efficacy of this &#8216;schedule,&#8217; as have I!&#8221;
Trump then announced that he signed a &#8220;Presidential Memorandum directing the Department of Health and Human Services to &#8216;FAST TRACK&#8217; a comprehensive evaluation of Vaccine Schedules from other Countries around the World, and better align the U.S. Vaccine Schedule, so it is finally rooted in the Gold Standard of Science and COMMON SENSE!&#8221;

In addition to other notable changes, Kennedy&#8217;s Health and Human Services department has so far modified COVID vaccine recommendations, advised that young babies get vaccinated against chickenpox separately, and opened the door to exploring a connection between vaccines and autism.

In an effort to thumb their noses at President Donald Trump and Health and Human Services Secretary <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/rfk-jr-to-link-tylenol-use-in-pregnancy-to-autism-says-wall-street-journal">Robert F. Kennedy Jr.</a>, liberal pregnant women have taken to filming themselves popping acetaminophen (Tylenol) tablets — despite an eight-year-old social media post from the drugmaker itself warning against it.

The women filming themselves taking the drug were doing so in reaction to a <a href="https://x.com/PressSec/status/1970276365116268622">press conference</a> that took place on Monday, during which President Trump and HHS Secretary Kennedy raised questions about the possibility of a causal link between autism and mothers who had used acetaminophen during pregnancy or had given it to their children as infants.
Kennedy is far from the first to raise such a concern.
A Mount Sinai <a href="https://www.mountsinai.org/about/newsroom/2025/mount-sinai-study-supports-evidence-that-prenatal-acetaminophen-use-may-be-linked-to-increased-risk-of-autism-and-adhd">study</a> published in August suggested that there was a link between prenatal acetaminophen use and both autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
<a href="https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5536672/">Findings</a> published by the National Institutes of Health in 2017 suggested that Tylenol use in infants and young children may pose an even greater risk for autism and ADHD than use during pregnancy.
In 2019, a <a href="https://hub.jhu.edu/2019/11/05/acetaminophen-pregnancy-autism-adhd/">study</a> from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health found that acetaminophen use during pregnancy was associated with elevated risks for autism and ADHD.
But still, in order to push back on Trump and Kennedy, pregnant women began posting videos of themselves as they swallowed the pills.

FLASHBACK: Even Tylenol Doesn’t Recommend Using Tylenol While Pregnant

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) — a highly influential Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) vaccine panel — held discussions and votes over the past two days on a number of vaccinations.
Specifically, the CDC panel discussed the MMRV, hepatitis B, and COVID vaccines.
On the MMRV vaccine, which protects against measles, mumps, rubella, and chickenpox, the panel voted to delay the shot until a child is at least four years old, citing an increased risk in febrile seizures. It&#8217;s still currently recommended that the MMR and chickenpox vaccine, separately, be given to young children.
The hepatitis B shot was also widely discussed, but ultimately a vote to delay the first dose, which is currently given at birth, was kicked for another time. Some advocates say the first dose is not necessary at birth if the mother herself tests negative for the disease, since hepatitis B is transmitted sexually or by blood.
The panel did vote to <a href="https://www.hhs.gov/press-room/acip-recommends-covid19-vaccination-individual-decision-making.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com">recommend</a> all pregnant women be tested for hepatitis B, a test that is covered across all insurance programs, according to Health and Human Services (HHS).
Lastly, the panel took on COVID vaccines. The panel <a href="https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/5513336-acip-recommends-childhood-vaccine-changes/">recommended</a> that the shot &#8220;be determined by individual decision-making.&#8221; This means there is no longer a broad recommendation for all, but instead, individuals will decide after discussions with providers, including physicians, nurses, and pharmacists, according to HHS.
&#8220;It allows for immunization coverage through all payment mechanisms including entitlement programs such as the Vaccines for Children Program, Children’s Health Insurance Program, Medicaid, and Medicare, as well as insurance plans through the federal Health Insurance Marketplace,&#8221; HHS adds.
During this latest meeting, five new appointees were named to ACIP: Catherine M. Stein, Dr. Evelyn Griffin, Hilary Blackburn, Dr. Kirk Milhoan, and Dr. Raymond Pollak.
ACIP is highly influential. The panel meets a few times a year and makes recommendations to the CDC, thereby basically setting the childhood vaccine schedule and other vaccine-related recommendations, like flu shots and COVID vaccines. ACIP also heavily influences which vaccines are covered by both public and private insurance.
Back in June, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. dismissed all sitting ACIP panel members over what he said were conflicts of interest. At the time, Kennedy argued in an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal that ACIP had lost the trust of the American people, effectively becoming a “rubber-stamp” for all vaccines while ignoring safety concerns and conflict of interest rules.
He said that ACIP had “never recommended against a vaccine—even those which were later withdrawn for safety reasons,” adding that the panel “failed to scrutinize vaccine products given to babies and pregnant women.”

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) &#8212; a highly influential Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) vaccine panel &#8212; is meeting Thursday and Friday to discuss potential changes to the childhood vaccination schedule. 
The panel will specifically review the COVID vaccine, the hepatitis B vaccination, and the MMRV shot, which protects against measles, mumps, rubella, and chickenpox. The panel will take votes on Thursday evening and Friday afternoon regarding their recommendations for if, when, and how the three vaccines should be administered.
Regarding the COVID vaccine, there are scheduled discussions on the &#8220;genomics of vaccine-induced myocarditis,&#8221; as well as the &#8220;economic analysis of COVID-19 vaccination.&#8221; The panel is also expected to hear statements from COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers. The vote for a COVID recommendation is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Friday.
On the hepatitis B vaccine, reports this week have suggested that the panel will likely recommend that the vaccine be delayed until age four if the mother tests negative for Hep B, since the disease is transmitted sexually or by blood. Currently, the first Hep B dose is given at birth. The vote on this recommendation is scheduled for Thursday at 5 p.m.
The vote for the MMRV shot is also scheduled at 5 p.m. on Friday. Before the vote, the panel will hear a presentation on &#8220;febrile seizure&#8221; following the MMRV vaccine.
The meeting will also reportedly include the introduction of five new panel member appointees. Back in June, Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. dismissed all ACIP panel members over what he said were conflicts of interest. He&#8217;s been replacing the panel with professionals he says follow gold-standard science. 
Also of note, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), which controversially <a href="https://publications.aap.org/aapnews/news/25340/AAP-reaffirms-gender-affirming-care-policy?autologincheck=redirected">supports</a> trans procedures for minors, boycotted the meeting, claiming ACIP has lost credibility under Kennedy.
AAP CEO Mark Del Monte <a href="https://www.statnews.com/2025/09/18/cdc-acip-vaccine-meeting-martin-kulldorff-debate-challenge/">claimed</a> in a recent statement that ACIP “imperils children’s health.&#8221; “Rather than firing experts at ACIP and CDC and engaging in political stunts, it’s time to get back to prioritizing children’s health. That’s where our focus is. That’s where it will remain,” he added.

President Donald Trump on Friday evening pushed back on <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/first-in-the-nation-florida-to-end-all-vaccine-mandates">Florida&#8217;s plan</a> to eliminate all vaccine mandates, including school requirements.
Trump said Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo&#8217;s plan was a &#8220;tough stance&#8221; and emphasized that some vaccines are &#8220;not controversial&#8221; and should generally be taken to protect children.
&#8220;I think we have to be very careful,&#8221; he told the press from the Oval Office. &#8220;You have some vaccines that are so amazing: the polio vaccine, I happen to think is amazing. A lot of people think that COVID [vaccine] is amazing. You know, there are many people that believe strongly in that.&#8221;
&#8220;You have some vaccines that are so incredible, and I think you have to be very careful when you say that some people don&#8217;t have to be vaccinated,&#8221; the president reiterated. &#8220;It&#8217;s a very tough position.&#8221;
&#8220;Initially, I heard about it yesterday,&#8221; Trump said of the Florida vaccine initiative. &#8220;And it&#8217;s a tough stance. You have vaccines that work &#8212; just pure and simple, they work, they&#8217;re not controversial at all. And I think those vaccines should be used, otherwise some people are going to catch it and they endanger other people. And when you don&#8217;t have controversy at all, I think people should take it.&#8221;

Dr. Ladapo, alongside Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, announced on Wednesday that the Sunshine State will end all vaccination mandates, including requirements for schools.
“The Florida Department of Health, in partnership with the government, is working to end all vaccine mandates in Florida law — all of them,” Ladapo said. “Every last one of them.”
Ladapo said the government has no right to tell parents what to put in their children’s bodies, or their own bodies.
“Every last [mandate] is wrong and drips with disdain — and slavery,” he argued. “Who am I, or anyone else … to tell you what you should put in your body? Who am I to tell you what your child should put in [their] body?”
“I don’t have that right,” he continued. “Your body is a gift from God. What you put into your body is because of your relationship with your body and your God. I don’t have that right. Government does not have that right.”

Kennedy defended his decision to fire CDC Director Susan Monarez, saying she had twice admitted to him that she was not &#8220;trustworthy.&#8221; He also stood by his overhaul of the CDC&#8217;s vaccine advisory panel (ACIP), stating the old panel was &#8220;plagued with conflicts of interest.&#8221;
When Democrats praised Operation Warp Speed in an apparent attempt to drive a wedge between him and the president, Kennedy said Trump deserved a Nobel Prize for it, but that the risk-benefit &#8220;calculus is different&#8221; now that the virus has mutated and adverse event reports have piled up. He also announced that the FDA is reviewing the safety data of the abortion pill mifepristone, alleging the previous administration &#8220;twisted the data&#8221; to &#8220;bury one of the safety signals.&#8221;

The Daily Wire first reported that the DOJ is looking at the issue as one of mental health, not gun control. The move comes after a series of high-profile violent crimes committed by people who identify as transgender, including the 2023 Covenant school shooting in Nashville and the attempted assassination of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
The administration&#8217;s focus on mental health stands in stark contrast to the Democratic response to the Minneapolis shooting. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has called for a special legislative session to address gun laws, citing the strict gun control measures in Scotland and Australia as models for the U.S.
On Wednesday, Vice President JD Vance and his wife visited the Annunciation school in Minneapolis, where they laid flowers and met with the parents of the murdered children. &#8220;There is nothing that you can say that can take away the grief that these parents are dealing with,&#8221; Vance said. &#8220;If you do have kids &#8230; make sure that they know that you love them &#8230; because there are families in Minneapolis who won&#8217;t be able to do that ever again.&#8221;

CBS News is under fire for editing out the serious criminal allegations against illegal immigrant Kilmar Abrego Garcia from an interview with Secretary Noem, making it appear the Trump administration was targeting an ordinary person for deportation. According to Curtis Houck of NewsBusters, this is at least the fifth time in four years that CBS has been caught making questionable edits that go &#8220;in one direction&#8221; against conservatives. Florida’s surgeon general, alongside GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis, announced on Wednesday that the Sunshine State will end all vaccination mandates, including requirements for schools.
“The Florida Department of Health, in partnership with the government, is working to end all vaccine mandates in Florida law — all of them,” Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo told a room of supporters. “Every last one of them.”
Ladapo went on to say that the government has no right to tell parents what to put in their children’s bodies, or their own bodies, sparking loud applause.
“Every last [mandate] is wrong and drips with disdain — and slavery,” he argued. “Who am I, or anyone else … to tell you what you should put in your body? Who am I to tell you what your child should put in [their] body?”
“I don’t have that right,” he continued. “Your body is a gift from God. What you put into your body is because of your relationship with your body and your God. I don’t have that right. Government does not have that right.”

Ending vaccine requirements for schoolchildren would be a seismic change — every state in the nation currently has school vaccine requirements. Additionally, liberal states have increasingly nixed religious exemptions for families looking to opt their children out of some requirements.
An attorney from New York, who recently <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/teen-takes-on-new-york-over-vax-mandate-and-wins">won a major vaccine case</a> in the state, told The Daily Wire that since the state did away with religious exemptions, it has also largely eliminated medical exemptions, despite the government’s claims to still accept them.
“The problem really is these New York State Department of Health regulations that were issued in 2019, that led to hundreds of children who had longstanding medical exemptions suddenly getting them revoked,” attorney Sujata Gibson <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/teen-takes-on-new-york-over-vax-mandate-and-wins">said</a>. “Many, many families have had to move out of town, get vaccinated against medical advice — some children have been severely harmed by that.”
It’s unclear how vaccine requirements will be peeled back in the state, but Ladapo does oversee the Florida Department of Health. He also noted that this vision will be possible with the help of state lawmakers, who Ladapo said will “have to make decisions” on these matters.
Gov. DeSantis has led the charge on the issue of <a href="https://www.axios.com/2023/05/12/desantis-medical-freedom-laws?utm_source=chatgpt.com">medical freedom</a> in the wake of the aggressive COVID policies. In 2023, for example, he signed a set of medical freedom measures into law, which banned mask and vaccine mandates and added new conscience protections for health care providers. He flanked Ladapo during the announcement to end all vaccination requirements on Wednesday.
Federally, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has moved to effectively make COVID vaccine mandates illegal by ending “emergency use authorization” for the vaccines.
“We saw the heavy-handed government with the vaccine mandates with the COVID vaccine, no longer is that possible given the landscape that we’ve created,” FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary <a href="https://x.com/SecKennedy/status/1962895599835009184">said</a>.
