Rep. Maxine Dexter (D-OR) made vulgar remarks at a protest on Tuesday as Democrats look to gain traction in their attempts to stop President Donald Trump&#8217;s momentum after coming back into power.
She made the remarks outside the U.S. Capitol at the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) &#8220;Rally To Save The Civil Service.&#8221;
&#8220;I&#8217;m a doctor from Oregon and a proud former UFCW member where I got my start,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I am proud to be part of this labor family, and so grateful for the strong position you all are taking, holding the line, protecting working families.&#8221;
&#8220;I&#8217;m going to tell you that we do have to — I don&#8217;t swear in public very well — but we have to f*** Trump!&#8221; she yelled.
&#8220;Please, don&#8217;t tell my children that I just did that,&#8221; she added.

Other House Democrats made similar remarks during the event, including Rep. Janice Schakowsky (D-IL), who said: &#8220;We are going to beat—I was going to say ‘f***,’ but no.&#8221;
&#8220;I’m not going to say that,&#8221; she said. &#8220;We are going to beat and we’re going to pull him down.&#8221;
Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI) joined in, saying &#8220;f*** Donald Trump&#8221; and &#8220;Elon Musk,&#8221; according to the <a href="https://freebeacon.com/democrats/watch-we-have-to-f-k-trump-congresswoman-says-as-democrats-struggle-to-form-focused-message/">Free Beacon</a>.
The remarks from congressional Democrats come as Trump and Elon Musk, who is leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) project, look to gut wasteful spending in government departments and agencies.
Democrats have raged over the cuts to programs and buyout offers of federal employees, many of whom are Democrats.

A Massachusetts man <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/crime" target="_blank" rel="noopener">arrested</a> with Molotov cocktails and a knife on Capitol Hill on Monday allegedly told Capitol Police that he wanted to kill two of President Donald Trump&#8217;s cabinet officials and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA).
According to a <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.dcd.276840/gov.uscourts.dcd.276840.1.1.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">criminal complaint</a> filed Tuesday, Ryan English told police at the Capitol building entrance that he had two Molotov cocktails and a knife on him. English reportedly said that he wanted to kill Trump&#8217;s Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who was confirmed by the Senate on Monday, and also target Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Johnson. The man said he wanted to &#8220;send a message&#8221; with his actions, according to the complaint.
English allegedly admitted that he left his home in Massachusetts on Sunday and drove to D.C. with the intention of killing Hegseth — whom he referred to as a &#8220;Nazi&#8221; — or Johnson. The man allegedly changed his mind after getting to D.C. and decided to target Bessent after reading Reddit posts about his confirmation hearing. He also considered burning down the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank on Capitol Hill, according to police.
&#8220;Originally, ENGLISH’s thoughts were to use the small bottles of vodka to start fires and later to wrap them in rags soaked in alcohol, light them and throw them at Bessent’s feet,&#8221; the criminal complaint states, adding, &#8220;ENGLISH explained, in the event ENGLISH was able to get close enough to Bessent, ENGLISH would have stabbed him with the knife that ENGLISH brought from home.&#8221;
Police searched English and found that he was carrying a &#8220;folding knife&#8221; in his pants pocket and two Molotov cocktails in the pockets of his jacket. Authorities also searched English&#8217;s car, where they recovered a bottle of vodka and a sweatshirt that had its sleeves cut.
&#8220;The cloth of this sweatshirt was consistent with the cloth affixed to the destructive devices,&#8221; the complaint stated.
Police also discovered a note written on the back of a receipt that was in the suspect&#8217;s pants pocket.
“Judith dear god I am so sorry. You must understand I can feel myself dying slowly b/c of my heart. This is terrible but I cant do nothing while nazis kill my sisters. I love you. This is awful. Im so sorry. I love u. Please stay alive and heal. you can. you are strong enough. F*** them for pushing us so far. you dont deserve this. Im so sorry for lying and plotting and lying. Please survive [7 hearts],” the note read, according to the complaint.

President-elect <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a> announced that his second inauguration will be moved indoors to the U.S. Capitol Rotunda due to the freezing temperatures that are predicted for Washington, D.C., on Monday.
Following the news, a White House reporter shared a photo from the last inauguration to be held inside, which was when the late President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/ronald-reagan" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ronald Regan</a> was sworn into office for a second term in 1985 due to extremely cold weather. The image showed a packed room of politicians, dignitaries, and guests surrounding Reagan, who was standing at the podium in the middle of the room as he gave remarks during his inaugural ceremony.

Trump said the various dignitaries and guests expected to attend would be brought into the Capitol.
ABC News reported the expected frigid weather conditions will likely be the coldest Inauguration Day in 40 years.
The forecast indicates that temperatures will likely be less than 20 degrees, but with wind chill, temperatures could feel as low as 5 degrees. The last president to be sworn in indoors was Ronald Reagan in 1985 when it was 7 degrees outdoors, and the wind chill was -25 degrees.

U.S. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/capitol-police" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Capitol Police</a> arrested and charged a man on Wednesday afternoon for trying to bring weapons inside the Visitor Center.
The incident happened just hours before President-elect Donald Trump is set to arrive at the Capitol to pay his respects to the late former President Jimmy Carter, who died last week.
Police officers stopped that man just after 2 p.m. after he &#8220;tried to get a machete into the Capitol Visitor Center (CVC),&#8221; USCP said in a statement.
&#8220;During security screening at the CVC’s north doors, our officers spotted a machete in the man’s bag, stopped the x-ray machine, arrested the man, and secured the machete,&#8221; police said.
Police added that they also found three additional knives in his bag.
&#8220;The man is being arrested for multiple charges of Carrying a Dangerous Weapon,&#8221; they said.

Mace was referring to her efforts to keep trans-identifying men out of women’s restrooms, specifically in the United States Capitol and all federal property.

The Capitol Police told The Daily Wire that they arrested a person accused of assaulting a United States representative Tuesday evening. That person was 33-year-old James McIntyre of Illinois, the Capitol Police said. McIntyre is facing a charge of assaulting a government official.
“Just before 6:00 p.m., the Member of Congress’ office reported an incident in the Rayburn House Office Building,” the Capitol Police told The Daily Wire. “House Division officers, and agents with the Threat Assessment Section, tracked down the suspect.”
McIntyre reportedly went through security screening before entering the congressional buildings, where the incident apparently occurred. The Capitol Police specifically said that “the Rayburn House Office Building was open to the public at the time of the incident.”

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) announced on Wednesday that people who use restrooms in the House of Representatives must use the one that matches their biological sex.
&#8220;All single-sex facilities in the Capitol and House Office Buildings &#8211; such as restrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms — are reserved for individuals of that biological sex,&#8221; Johnson said in a statement.
&#8220;It is important to note that each Member office has its own private restroom, and unisex restrooms are available throughout the Capitol,&#8221; he added. &#8220;Women deserve women&#8217;s only spaces.&#8221;
When asked by a reporter if the policy would be enforceable, Johnson said, &#8220;Like all House policies, it&#8217;s enforceable.&#8221;
&#8220;And we have single-sex facilities for a reason, and women deserve women&#8217;s only spaces,&#8221; he noted. &#8220;And we are not anti-anyone and we are pro-woman. I think it is an important policy for us to continue. It’s always been an unwritten policy and now it is in writing.&#8221;
The announcement comes after Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) introduced a bill this week that banned &#8220;Members, officers, and employees of the House from using single-sex facilities other than those corresponding to their biological sex, and for other purposes.&#8221;
Mace later tweaked the bill, naming it the “Protecting Women’s Private Spaces Act,” and provided it exclusively to The Daily Wire.
The bill prohibits &#8220;individuals from accessing or using single-sex facilities on federal property other than those corresponding to their biological sex.&#8221;

Do women have rights or not? Are we going to allow these men to bully us into submission? And I say, no, no more. I’m done with this.”
“There’s no amount of bullying and threats on my life that they’ve made this week that’s going to stop me from this,” she added, promising to “fight like hell” for the protection of women and girls.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has reportedly said that trans-identifying men will not be allowed to use the women&#8217;s restrooms in the U.S. Capitol.
Johnson made the announcement to the GOP conference on Tuesday, POLITICO reported.
“He said there’s not going to be any biological men using our restrooms,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) told the outlet.
“It&#8217;s pretty aggressive for biological men to be invading our spaces,” Greene <a href="https://x.com/Olivia_Beavers/status/1858889083121983623" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>.

The speaker&#8217;s comments come after Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) introduced a bill to keep Sarah McBride, a trans-identifying man who will represent Delaware in the House next year, from using the women&#8217;s bathrooms at the Capitol.
McBride will be the first ever trans-identifying member of Congress.

The prohibition would be enforced by the House sergeant-at-arms, according to the bill.
&#8220;Sarah McBride doesn&#8217;t get a say in this. If you&#8217;re a biological man, you shouldn&#8217;t be in women&#8217;s restrooms,&#8221; Mace <a href="https://www.axios.com/2024/11/19/nancy-mace-sarah-mcbride-transgender-bathroom" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> reporters Monday.
Democrats accused Mace of &#8220;bullying&#8221; the member of Congress-elect.
&#8220;This is not just bigotry, this is just plain bullying,&#8221; Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said.
Speaker Johnson said at a press conference on Tuesday that there were concerns about trans-identifying men using restrooms and noted that “Congress has never had to address before.”
Gender ideology loomed large over the presidential election this year. President-elect Donald Trump frequently mentioned biological men in women&#8217;s sports during his rallies.

Legendary country singer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/johnny-cash-album-with-never-before-heard-tracks-coming-this-summer">Johnny Cash</a>’s statue is headed to the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., where he will be immortalized in bronze for future generations.

The legendary country singer died in 2003 at the age of 71. But years after his passing, fans got a treat when the album “Songwriter” was released in June, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/johnny-cash-album-with-never-before-heard-tracks-coming-this-summer">reported</a>.
It contains 11 unreleased songs the late country star wrote and recorded back in 1993, but ended up shelving after he met with producer Rick Rubin and the two instead opted to focus on their musical partnership, the <a href="https://www.tennessean.com/story/entertainment/music/2024/04/23/johnny-cash-album-with-never-before-heard-tracks-coming-this-summer/73427775007/">Tennessean</a> noted.
The album was produced by musician John Carter Cash, the son of Johnny and June Carter Cash, and co-produced by David “Fergie” Ferguson. The two “stripped” the songs “back to just Johnny’s powerful, pristine vocals, and acoustic guitar,” <a href="https://www.southernliving.com/johnny-cash-new-album-songwriter-8638253">Southern Living</a> noted.
Some of the other artists who are also on the album with Cash include the late Waylon Jennings, country singer Vince Gill, guitarist Marty Stuart, and The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach.
